Epic. Here's hoping they take it back to its roots. Fuck that armor break / projectile rubbish.

Armor break stunk, but CF was a good mechanic.

Side-stepping did indeed exist in SC2, and it was probably several orders of magnitude more powerful than in any other installment of the series. In addition, the "step-guard" glitch in SC2 made side-stepping completely safe against many if not most horizontals.

What was weak about it in SC2? SC3 had a buttload of tech traps that made ukemi very risky in a lot of situations. It's been forever since I played SC2, but to the best of my recollection, it didn't have tech traps and was thus much safer.

I honestly didn't notice any difference between the responsiveness of the guard impacts, but I did like how SC3 brought back the four-direction GI system.

If Harada-san is behind the new project, then I'm pretty sure either they're gonna
a)go back to its roots (since they actually listen to the fans now)
b)build on SC4's system and possibly make it worse (imo) but you never know...

Either way, I know I'm still playing it... I do want Revenant as a full blown character (with signature moves like in SC, even though some were Tekken character moves)...

I have to disagree. I'm not a fan of instant kills DURING a match.

SC(1) didn't need any fancy stuff to deal with turtles. The game was just properly put together that way. VF is another example as well. However, if turtles are an issue, I do think the SF/SF4 franchise has the right idea for an SC game: certain moves that chip away health, and certain long-charge moves that simply go through your guard. The strategy should be how to implement those options, instead of simply punishing a turtle-type player with an instant kill or armor break.
