Soundtrack for VF5/R/FS coming May 2011?

Just processed my order at Amazon Japan with shipping to Norway. It cost me 3000 yen for the CD and another 3000 yen for express shipping (2-5 business days).

Perhaps a bit expensive when only buying one item at a time, but if many of you close by each other went together and chipped in on shipping costs, I guess it won't be that steep, all in all.

 

Will you be uploading the soundtrack once you have it, Chief?

 

I had mine preordered off CDJapan, although I'm not getting the express shipping. Looks like a full soundtrack which I like the sound of.

I just really hope we get full tracks and preferably not like the VF3 soundtrack where halfway through they put voice samples.

 

^Yeah, that was kind of irritating on the VF3 tracks...come to think of it, does a rip of VF3's music WITHOUT the voice samples actually exist anywhere?

 

I only partially agree. As much as I would love to hear uninterupted versions, some of the voice inserts were tastefully done imo. One that totally stands out in my mind is Lau's track. The way that track starts is awesome! Maybe speech placed in certain parts works, but I agree that character's sound effects and moans are unnecessary, i.e. Lion's "eahhh"!

At least they changed the length of the songs compared to the VF2 soundtrack CD. Those tracks were like 5 minutes each, and when you have a song that loops at 1:30 to 2 minutes, 5 minutes in total length is excessive.

 

My copy got shipped today. Got to wait 4-12 days for it now.

It better not be a 6 week thing like the email says though.

 

How much was it from CDJapan?

 

Holy shit, I thought we weren't even going to get FS but we get all 3 VF's in one neat package!? This exceeded my expectations, finally got their priorities straight, a dream come true.

 

Same as Amazon (3000 yen), but it was 750 yen for shipping for me.

 

Do u guys think that if the OST sells well, especially outside of Japan, there's a higher chance of VF5:FS coming to US/Europe?

Also if I purchase it, will I be able to play it on a US CD player such as burning it to my xbox 360's custom soundtrack feature? Thanks to any of u that answers my question.

no, i doubt it.

i believe all, if not most, music CDs worldwide are region free, so you should be able to play it on anything without a problem.

 

Well, it's been a quick 4-12 days at it's just arrived.

Going straight for disc 1 track 34 methinks.
