oh wow, lol, i thought it was his rating. this does make sense though. I almost always get ACC in wins. Although, i did do better with Sagat, i got all AAA in one of the 4 online matches i've played with him : ( I guess i usually do about BCD in losses. Or DBD or whatever, --good tech for whatever that's worth.

dont get why anyone who ones both a PS3 and a 360 would buy the 360 version. Paying to play is BS. PS IS FREE BABY!....my Sakura is the shiz...Biggz316 holla

 

^ I wanted the PS3 version but Gamestop stopped pre-orders for the collectors edition when I arrived so I got the 360 version.

I still plan to buy the PS3 version.

 

I want to play the 360 version to see how good all you guys are that play on 360 since I only know about the people that play the game on PS3. I would have gotten the 360 version already but I need to save the money I have for more important things.

Anyway how often to random disconnections occur on 360. It happens so much on PSN it pisses me off, this might determine if I get the game on 360 at all if I get the money saved up.

 

You probably already realize this but...had i owned a ps3 and xbox360 (i own xbox360) i would have bought it for xbox360. I and, most on this site, already have an xbox live membership to play online for xbox, and therefore SF4 is included in our online play already. I have no problem with the yearly xbl charge personally. It they invest that money in improving xbl i am all for it. And it seems they invest some money in it so, it's all good for me.

 

I've only had one disconnect (and i was listening to a podcast streaming on my computer) in about 6 hours of online play. It is much rarer (for me) than disconnects on vf5. And the lag doesnt bother me as much either. This may be do to the game being a little simpler, or due to my not being as serious about it. Probably the latter. I don't think general competition is real great since i win most my matches, and i really do think i kinda suck at the game. In vf equivalent i'd put myself at about 5th dand strength at street fighter, if that. Everyone i've played from this site has beat me, but it was kinda close. Although, i haven't played that many.

 

How do i unlock the alternate outfits for people?

 

Different colours I'm not sure, but the completely different outfit are DLC. Yeah they cost money too.

 

I've only played for 3 nights, but it was 4-6 hours each time. With WoW on my PC, my roomate playing Eve Online, I didn't see a single disconnect that wasn't after a match.

 

I've had a few disconnects that weren't pulls.

Nowhere near as bad as the disconnects I got playing HDR on both systems before the patch.

I patched my HDR on both systems but have yet to play.

 

Colors are earned by Normal Time attack and Survival trials

Color 3 Time Attack Normal 1
Color 4 Survival Normal 1
Color 5 Time Attack Normal 6
Color 6 Survival Normal 6
Color 7 Time Attack Normal 11
Color 8 Survival Normal 11
Color 9 Time Attack Normal 16
Color 10 Survival Normal 16

Alternate outfits are available through DLC. 5 separate packs. Approx $5 each

Brawler pack: Abel, E.Honda, El Fuerte, Rufus, Zangief

Classic pack: Blanka, Dhalsim, Fei-Long, Gen, Guile

Femme Fatale pack: Cammy, Chun-Li, C. Viper, Rose, Sakura

Shadaloo pack: Balrog, M.Bison, Sagat, Seth, Vega

Shoryuken pack: Akuma, Dan, Gouken, Ken, Ryu

 

I don't have many drops or disconnects but the pullers are lurking... I've been pulled on A LOT.

I also read that 360 has faster load times than PS3, unless you do a full install, then the PS3 version has the same load time as 360 does off the disc. I also think XBOX LIVE is just so much more robust than PSN. Further, $50 is basically nothing for an ENTIRE YEAR!

NBA package is like ~$300 for the season, $50 is a really cheap yearly subscription charge for what you get. Once you have it, it doesn't cost any EXTRA to play SF4 or any other game...

@Social Ruin- EDIT... Looks like Shag beat me to this part[/size] You gotta buy the alternate costumes and they automatically come with 10 different color choices. To get the other colors for the original outfit, you have to play through lvl 18 (beat lvl 18) in each of Normal Survival Mode and Normal Time Attack Mode.

Beating the 18th level of each mode gives you the 9th and 10th colors. Level 11 in both gives you colors 7 and 8, but I'm stuck on level 11 time attack!

Level 11 Time Attack is the real evil one where you have no ultra, no EX moves and no Focus Attack... Essentially, I think it's supposed to emulate SFII type of game play with the SF4 characters and graphics...

The last few guys are Blanka (evil), Guile (he can waste mad time turtling), Zangief (need I say more?), Sagat and then Bision; it's freaking brutal man!

 

thanks guys. I'm torn. I don't want to shell out $5 for the outfits, but i think i'd rather do that than have to beat all the time trials, lol. Damn, speaking of robust, i don't have a problem paying for DLC but, i wish the DLC was more robust. I personally think $5 for EVERYONE'S alternate it fair, but $25 to unlock everyone's is F'ing nonsense. Just IMO though.
