SSF4 Good Games Thread

Yeah I agree with you Gerns. They'd be throwing the controller at the wall or kicking their mum/girlfriend in the nuts if it was rage, not pulling the cable.

 

I think it stems from the fact that SF had online games without ranks, so pulling was more because people got pissed for losing?

 

Gern, you assume I'm playing ranked. These people pull during player matches. And when they start sending me (multiple)messages full of abusive language I can guess a bit of rage is involved.

Maybe there was some "rage" involved... I've been playing ranked almost exclusively (yeah MF, I use Fei Long!) and have been pulled on many times. Less than SC4 for sure though, that is a pull-master's favorite game.

For ranked mode at least, pulling is just like welshing on a bet. It's a really whack-ass thing to do cause I'm betting my BP against yours that I'm gonna beat you.

I'm not planning on pulling but you are. So I'm playing fair and square only to find that you're gonna pull before I can officially win. If you beat me, I just won't ever know you were planning on F-ing me over.

Darthminion could fool you into thinking he has skills when he's just gonna pull ONLY if YOU win. If HE wins, everything seems normal... You don't pull and take the loss and move on. It's not till HE loses that you see his penchant for dirty-ass pulling.

Pulling is truly cheating period. In reality, the pullers are just straight-up tampering with the whole ranking system and doing their absolute best to subvert it entirely...

 

to that extent, before i stopped playing vf for awhile, whenever someone pulled, i too would go file a tampering, cheating complaint. If it was really laggy or there was a large rank disparity, then i wouldn't bother....but if we are both named rank and you pull in the final round right before you die (i don't care how much lag there was) thats cheating, and i am inclined to report it. especially when you'd take a bigger rank hit from pulling than losing one match WTF???? in that case all you are doing is screwing me double, and giving the game the opportunity to decide it may just want to reset my hard earned ranking bar, which has happend three time now damnit! all when my competition pulled.

He's coming lol...I still can't connect combos that well and I tend to spam his flame kick too much. For the most part, the only real trouble I have is against skilled Sagat players. Grrr!

BTW, I'd like to get more games with you VFDCers! Where y'all at? I'm very curious to see how y'all play. Some of you can flatout whoop my butt on VF5 but I'd like to think I'm much better at 2D fighters so hit me up!

Dunno if I'm gonna go on SF4, I'm really too scrubby to play it... I don't even get better and I just repeat the same misplays always and always. I like the game but I'm getting frustrated to stay at such a low level...

Arrr! lol rage the new breed of pullers i never seen so many people pull on player matches. i got hatemail the other day for kicking a guys arse for trying to be a fire spitting froggy kenny. well i taunted that arse twice b4 the last hit. and BAM!

 

Raging is all the rage these days.

I got hate mail for playing as the cheapest character in the game, and for taunting him whenever his ultra missed.

I was using Gen.

 

So people use taunts to get the opponent angry, then act surprised when they get angry?

 

That's DSP, he was one of the top u.s. vanilla ST/AE console players, especially on the East Coast. Yeah he complains a whole lot in his videos, and his posts on srk lol. DSP generates alot of hate.

Good stuff though, your Fei Long is looking too dope man.
