SSF4 Good Games Thread

Hey Tricky Yang Zse/Ol' Skewl has a nice Rose.He gave me a challenge with Guile.

 

If anyone wanted to get the PC version of SF4, they released a benchmark tool to see if your PC can run the game. SF4 PC Benchmark tool. Im running a C2D 2.8ghz, Vista 64-bit, 4g of ram, and Geforce 250 GTS. Have the game at max settings 1024x768 full screen, average frame rate is 59.87 fps with V-sync on. It gave me an A ranking. I have yet to overclock the cpu and video card yet. Also I am using my 32' samsung lcd that's why my resolution is at 1024x768, But the game definitely looks better on PC.

 

GGs to Rod, Guy has some BAD matchups but overall he looks good enough.

GGs Gern, we had a long set, experience goes a long way. Make sure you get your punishment in cuz it's not as easy to punish certain moves.

 

GG's Cozby and Tricky. Sorry I'm not much of a SF player without parrying. Thanks for showing me some stuff with Guy believe it or not, but I learn quite a bit. And yeah I agree he does have quite a few bad match ups. Like how does he beat Guile?????

The thing about Guy that's tough for me is you really are not suppose to jump much with him, but most of the time I'm like " well how the fuck am I suppose to get in if I can't jump over this damn projectile that I have been forced to block about 50 times already? " man it's frustrating getting chipped to death only to make a decent jump and get anti aired, but * gasp * they jump and Guy sucks at anti air with the exception of EX hurricane kicks

 

I'll help you get around that Rod. I had trouble against Ryu's with that. Just use your common sense.

 

I tried this game and have found it wanting. I'm starting to think Dan is better than Hakan who I tried to main. The other characters I'd like to play are charge characters and I can't do charge shit on a pad for my life. Maybe I'll just turn Shoto like everyone else.

GG's too...shit noone I just get DESTROYED.

 

It's a good thing I'm stubborn, because I'm getting so frustrated I almost want to quit. Somebody give me some games, right now I'm maining Makoto and I still haven't played anybody I actually know.

 

gg's cja. i love my gief. and from the ultra preview, i was under the assumption his siberian blizzard can only be executed while in the air. i was a bit suprised at first when i pulled it off from the ground

 

It is so hard to think about VF when I could SF play and find great matches constantly but the matches are great. My Chun Li and her second Ultra is something I wish she had in the first SF4. I am curious to know how the rest of the people here play, I am sure it will be a great learning experience. I am serious thinking of making Deejay a second character since his game appears to be simular to Chun Li's and I still haven't found a solid second character yet.

GGs man I am a major noob at SF in general. It was exciting to see you play rextr0 (one of our best local players in STL) but it looked from spectator mode like there was some crazy lag or that the game was about to crash. Did you get anymore games in with him later?

 

GGs to me for actually sticking through the many ass kickings I'm suffering while playing Hakan. I'm really getting destroyed. Bison in particular makes Hakan absolutely useless.

I'm totally loving this game now. Ibuki is so fresh and clean that I'm going to have to main her. She feels just like an eileen if she was put into SF. Hella safe and can rush you down or run away.

 

The lag was really awful on the third round against his blanka...

and it was evident they were trying to make fun of me for not being to anti air him (in lag...). I could hear them through the tv trying to hate on me. That one guy raeli in particular doesn't like me because of some incident that happened a while back on srk.

Either way I beat rextro the second game we played and both of them left afterwards.
