That about as odd as my situation how I was hit out of my ultra after I passed through it. That ultra sure has some weird properties to it though.

 

I played a few decent games last night, forgot all the players names... but they were good. I played an actually good Ken player and Balrog. Although the Balrog was terrible...

He tried to use his Ultra every round and missed each time because I would always jump it. So I landed behind him and instantly pulled off my utlra. He was mayud. P:

Another time he did it I jumped it and taunted him. He came flying accross the screen at me, I think he was mad that time too. lol. Taunting rules.

 

Sorry about that man. I'm not avoiding you. If I had my way, I would be on the game taking all comers all day. Same with VF. I don't have the time to refine my skills like I want because of a wife and kids. Especially my 2yr old son that has to climb in my lap while I play. Balrog is waiting to smash your face though. I'll be off and on tonight again.


GGs to Slide last night. Thats a good Viper you got there. I have not had any trouble with her so far, but now I see the potential. What's your deal with girls that kick anyway?

 

here's slide's checklist for his character choice:

1) mad style
2) kicks a lot
3) looks badass while kicking your ass
4) hard as a mother to play with effectively
5) win quotes and taunts that make you want to punch the hore in the face

I think I got em all.

Hell yeah, dude. The only time I can ever connect the bitch is in the corner after EX legs or after I waste a chunk of the match baiting a fierce/sweep/fireball from potentially "good" players (not really a safe measure). I just don't get why it can't be a canned move like Ken's Ultra. : \ /shrug

 

GGs to Tsua"HotD". That's a good Fei Long you got there. I fifured you wanted some variety, so I mixed it up instead of playing Rog the whole time. You might not DMPK but you damn sure Down+LK. haha Those were good matches man. Later

 

That is the big difference in Chun now her best moves aren't as abusable as they were before. Having to bait people into mistakes to hit with the Ultra is a challenge that is worth it as far as I am concerned. The only thing I wished she had was a universal anti air move like ken, ryu, etc have that can be used in every situation not the situational moves that might work if the enemy is a certain distance away or if they are just starting to leave the ground as a few examples.

 

Ugh yeah I hate fighting Balrog. He's a defense machine and if you make one little mistake against him, it's goodbye lifebar lol! He can just turtle all day so it's a pain to get in...all you can do is really try to bait him to do his freakin invincible headbutt and then capitalize on it. My cousin uses him too and I'm sooo used to fighting him but your style is a bit different than his. Yeah, ggs and sorry if I was choosing mostly just Fei Long...I'm trying to main him and I need all the practice I can get against good players. Haha down+lk for the win!!! Gotta make you respect the down + Lk...I'm trying to learn how to combo off of them so next time, be prepared! GGs dude!

 

As far as I'm concerned, Chun is very strong in this game. Use her overhead crescent kick to go over fireballs. Her pokes are just as strong as ever. Her standing RH kick is a good anti air if I'm not mistaken as well as her low RH kick if timed at the right distance. Not to mention her lightning leg kicks are high priority! While her special moves aren't as good, she's got some really good normals to work with. Chun Li looks oddly familiar to Pai....shadowmaster, do you have a fetish for Chinese girls lol? J/k man...hope to see you online for some ggs!

 

Chun's normal attacks are definitely useful, similar to the way they were in 3S. Forward jump HP is full of ownage, it downs aerial opponents for combo followps and is even more useful if its used on a standing opponent. Her Upward RH is funny cuz it can lead to a cross-up if the opponent passes you, like how Yun's F+FP hits backwards in 3S. w/ Chun, i'd suggest going for the air throw when you can. Chun needs all of the gauge she can muster. EX Spinning Bird Kick extremely useful as a reversal, and EX Lightning Legs can set up an ultra. Ex Kikoken is 2-hits. A light Kikoken is great for setting up a jump-in target combo. Her combos aren't exceedingly difficult and can net retarded damage.

And I'd totally do her. I wanna take her undies and make sweet thong tea.

 

Well, my hats off to you Tsua for getting in close and keeping pressure on me. Also a special congrats for getting that Ultra on me. I honestly never expected to see his Ultra during our matches just because you can't combo it. You baited me good that time.

Cozby, I need to steal some tips from you on playin Chun-Li. I'll add you when I get home. I want to add her and Cammy as my second string. I just need to build up some sort of strategy and apply my own style to it. I see people turtle with her and that looks hella boring. Then when I try to be agressive with her, I am too vulnerable. I need to find her sweet spot.

 

Chun is great and all but Pai is ten times better and so much easier to use as far as I am concerned. I would have gone back to VF already but Chun takes so much of my time being as hard as she is use decently, that is why i love her. Her normals are great and i use more of her mix ups after a jab and her normals with chun more than I do her projectile game like jab, hard punch or jab, throw, I am not a projectile type of person. I also discovered a 2 and 1 combo she has with crouching jab followed with a standing hard punch, it is a great move to do to beat focus attacks because it is a 2 hit combo.

Yeah I guess that's about right. It's fun first and foremost and most importantly. Also if a character is tough to use you get respect just being able to control them, crowd pleasing characters man. I don't always win, I lose alot, but I do get respect and people do regard me as one of the better in the characters I use. I like combos and flash, and some swagger. Mirror matches are less likely, I'm not very good at those. In other SF games I used Guy, Charlie, Maki, etc. other fighters like DOA it was Tina, Tekken - Hwoarang/Lee, SC4 - Taki/Setsuka, MK - Kitana/Cyrax, kof- K'/Leona, and obviously Sarah.

It's the shit when you got a crowd of people watching you play, and you hear ooooos and aaaaahs, and you get those smiles and props whether you win or lose. It's like it's in total agreement that it's fun and exciting.

I'm kind of locked in, because these are the only types of characters I can play effectively anyway. I'm not successful with other types of characters because I'm just not feelin it.

Yeah man those were great matches. You really have your links down I had to really worry about that. If I ever slipped up you were soo ready to capitalize. That's something I still need to being const. with.

I really want to learn sakura well enough to main her.
