ggs to dblax. hahaha I think gouken vs. rufus is a matchup in gouken's favor, the dude keeps eating fireballs to the dome. Rufus is fun to play though, I think I'll make him my 3rd. Ive got a NE gathering coming up; I gotta be in top shape

No doubt, Glory. I'm still trying to get the hang of this game. Playing Chibiya and seeing how the engine flows, I'm getting use to it. I'm still in 3rd Strike mode and ST, LOL. I need to stop being so damn aggressive in this game. I need to be calm the fuck down and sit down with this game for once. This SF is not like the others.

 

Just once I would like to fight a guy that does not run away and throw fireballs/shiryuken. If I see a ken throw a forward mid kick I will shit my pants.

after getting raped by glory's bison I needed to learn him just so I can see how to get around his stuff. I find SF is a great game to just learn the whole cast to figure out ways around stuff.

It's cool because it takes a lot of the defensive work off your since you'll be seeing how other people deal with the stuff. That's how I learned to get around air fireball spamming akuma's

 

Yeah he was Whupping my Guile out with Akuma air fireballs. I told him i was'nt going to switch until i know my Guile can beat this tatic.In all fairness i won 3 in a row through hardwork ,patience and adjustments.

 

When I play Blanka, I usually get whooped hard. Crazy electric, green monster is dangerous and he can really shut me down sometimes. Bison doesn't scare me as much as Blanka. He's deadly, but green dood is hard-core...

 

Its too bad they neutered E Honda so bad in sf4..... there really is no incentive to play him compared to the other charge characters. I still use him quite a bit and win enough with him, but it can be frustrating.

 

GGS to Oh no you didnt VF. Sorry for spamming cr. lk so much but damn, that shit is useful lol. Fei Long has a hard time keeping pressure without it and plus, I had to get your Zangief the fuck a way from me lol.

GGs to Subbers. I already knew you would be really good. But idk, but when I play Vega I tend to be random and play around alot. You started making me work in a hot minute. Your SF skills are serious.

So playing SFIV has really given me an appreciation for the character balance in VF5. Today i played a good rufus and was getting handled. One fight he beat me solidly the first round and perfected me the second, and for the fight breakdown he got offense: E Tech: E Defense: E. Nice. Is he that good he can get a perfect and all E's.
Anyhow, i've only been playing a few weeks and haven't played a street fighter in 15 years prior. So i only have about really 12 days period of using gouken, and none using anyone else. But...i switch to Sagat and go on to beat the guy the next 4 fights. Awesome. I have used Sagat, including those 4 fights, less than 10 times in 15 years. I know how to do his moves from Street fighter II "the new challengers" or whatever the hell one that came out with balrag, bison, vega and sagat. Can you imagine if vf5 was like that? Never mind the fact i main lei fei, i'm gonna switch to a shun i've never practiced to win this match really quick.
That being said, i still look forward to getting better with gouken. The game is a lot of fun. And i already hate rufus. Does anyone else thinks it's strange the three top-tier characters are the 3 characters that are 7 ft tall.
BTW, anyone notices Balrogs bio says he was thrown out of boxing for his love of dangerously violent techniques? lol. Would a running headbutt really be considered a technique?

 

I've gotten straight a's twice. I usually get as bs and cs but that doesn't stop glory from smacking me up.

 

That would be your rating, and not his. More than likely if yours said EEE his mightve said AAA as result. The best I had gotten on a loss was BDC and CCC, on very close matches.
