The post was intended to antagonize all stl players out there, so they would want to learn vf4. I see that it worked from these replys, just not what I hoped for. Isn't this the same tactic you guys use when your shit talking back to each other on posts? One person loses and the other talks down to him or her pissing the other off, so in return they practice harder for the next match. I really don't see the harm in it and no I'm not a freaking vf snob, that takes years of practice to achieve that /versus/images/icons/smile.gif As far as playing other fighting games, I do beleive we played ggx together, but you disappeared from that scene. I play sc, st, vps2, lb2, groove on fight, kof, shiniken, import sega saturn fighters etc.. So, vf isn't everything. I even bought tekken 4! I also played ttt at chris's ions ago. I'm not good at tekken, but I have been trying. True, I don't know you or your tekken crew that well, so I really didn't mean to harm you or them personally. It seems that it has, sorry /versus/images/icons/frown.gif Once again it was a ploy to lure the stl scene into vf snobbery, heh. On another note, it seems md bill,tii, Chris, eggchen, red,pat made a nice transfer to vf4, I thought all of this stl talent would surely work for vf4. I really wanted you to play it, because you were one of the few who played ggx with us and I was assured that you would play vf4. I think one major problem is the local arcades didn't get it due to the fact that tekken was so popular here and VF3 sales bombed. I even heard rumors of a tilt rep replying, " VF4? Naww! It would interfere with Tekken 4's earnings. So, it would seem that my work was cut out for me if I wanted more vf4 players. Out of sight out of mind is the impression I heard from most people in arcades. Oh by the way, you remember E6? I was one of the stl people in the back cheering for you even though I'm not a tekken player. So, no this wasn't intended to bash or be snobby in any way. It was my way of smacktalking to grab your attention and say, "wanna play some vf4?" I'm more than willing to try ttt if you have the time to show me, but will you play vf4 in return?

Damn, I can't believe I'm getting notices from people to take a look at this thread and moderate. After glancing through, here are my two cents:

First cent: If you have nothing to say except profanity...save it. Or at LEAST private message it to who you're targeting to, sheesh.

Second cent: If you don't care about VF...what the hell are you doing here!?!? May I suggest using time more constructively?

 

Tim: Like I said before, if someone wants to come in and learn VF4 that is great and if they don't that's fine too. Trying to shit talk them into it isn't going to work (not even in STL).
So let's stop trying to stir the pot when it's only going to bring negative responses and hostility into the thread. The people that want to play VF are already here and I doubt we're going to get many more. Let's just appreciate who we have and go about our business of learning and enjoying the game amongst ourselves. Also, you still playing at Red's tonight? Let me know if you need directions or want to follow me there.
Pat: You better show up this time to prove that you're not afraid to face us since you no-showed the last few times.

Dear Lord...we've really sunk to new depths with MK. LOL Actually, I played the hell out of MK3 the summer it came out. MK4 was a big letdown for me though. Watch out, Kabal will set some heads to spinning tonight! Pat, if you can't find your copy let me know. I have one lying around here somewhere. Also, what time you going to Crestwood?

Pat: Don't give up on VF4 just because you got your ass handed to you last night. /versus/images/icons/smile.gif I was getting my ass handed to me when I started out so it just takes some time and patience. Try going in practice mode a bit with every character so you'll have a basic idea of what's coming when you face that character.
Red: God your Vanessa was pissing me off just as much as my Lion was pissing you off. Hehe. Anyway, you seem to be improving a lot as you longer follow the same patterns you did before.

TTT/T4 are both equally queer in my book... I like Tekken 4 a little better still simply because I haven't played it out as much as I did TTT. OH WELL I am atleast man enough to admit both those games are pretty much retarded.
