Good games to all at Tim's last night. Now if everyone will stick with it, we can develop a good VF scene here.
EmX: LOL...you were so scared of getting hit by the dropkick that you just fell down before it even connected. /versus/images/icons/smile.gif EVO seems to have its share of glitches so far. One of the worst to me (besides the magic dropkick) is when Goh goes for a ground throw, the transitional animation is way too jerky. Hopefully a lot of this was fixed in Ver. B.

It's good to see that everyone as well as new players came for round 2. I'll have to apologize to everyone for hogging the machine for so long. This week will be different especially since I'll be out of town. Anyway, here are a couple of comments regarding the last session:

- I know the game is very fast paced and many things may be done on impulse but every player needs to think of the consequences for doing an action. One very common case is with TRs. You have to watch the direction you TR and also think if the opponent has seen you TR in this situation before. Chances are if the opponent is good, you will be punished for it. Pai and Goh can trip the TR as some of you have seen. Others can low throw the TR, etc.

- If you find yourself not being able to do a combo or some more difficult move, go back to something you know you can do 100%.

Shou-sama: No apologies needed for "hogging" the machine. I personally don't want you to go easy on us at all. I'd rather lose twenty times to get to that one victory I earn by beating you at your best. We all have much to learn and sometimes getting beat down in the only way to improve our game.

The gathering this weekend will take place around friday night at 8pm. I'm glad to see so many people showing up regularly every weekend, keep it up!
On a side note, Omaha and possibly some from Chicago are coming to stay next weekend, so that means do whatever it takes to get here!!! This is gonna be our first big gathering for vf in stl, so please everyone at least make it here one day if you can.

What's up people, I am back. Does anybody know somebody named Pumpkin King 00? He wanted to play me before leaving STL on the tenth so tell him to hook up somewhere tommorow.

Tim: I should be able to make it tomorrow night. Also, when are the out of towners arriving? I will most likely be off Friday and Sunday but have to work 1-8 on Saturday.

Looking at the fact that Troy and I probably won't be off work on Friday until around 4-5 PM, CST, and it's a 7 hour drive there, the folks from Omaha probably be in until around midnight or so that night.

I know that the others will be kinda chompin at the bit, so to speak, so we'll be on our way outta town fairly quickly after we get back to our homes.

Tim: If you want to get some practice in this week before Omaha arrives, let me know. I'm going to go out drinking probably Friday night this week and then just head straight to your place after work Saturday. I'll bring my sleeping bag and just crash on the floor if that's cool with you (if anyone actually goes to sleep that is...hehe).
Shaun: Don't give up on VF just yet. The tech roll timing is really not that much different from Tekken. It just takes some time to get used to using all three buttons to do it. Shou-sama will be able to explain the intricacies of the system way better than I can so hopefully you'll be able to make this weekend's gathering.

good games fri, wow I did horrible. But anyway, I'm really starting to like VF I'd prefer it if you didn't go easy on me even if I do get annhilated.

It's finally time that I got here. This is Aaron. Finally able to get this gig up and running. What's going down this weekend with Omaha and Chicago? Still scheduled as planned?

Anyway, I'm glad I'm finally aboard here. Any hard feelings here if I'm not yet fully into VF? I'm moving into it...but it will take time. Guilty Gear should enjoy its run first.

Herro...I'm trying to learn VF now, and I'm looking forward to playing this weekend. Somebody let me know where the hook-up is.

Now that I've seen how good VF is, all other games just seem...pointless. -_-
