Akai: I don't think I'm going to go to TiT5. The 11 hour drive is a little much for just a one day stay and I'm too cheap to fly. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif I have next weekend off though so the door is still slightly open...
If you want to play Evo on PS2, you're probably going to have to get your US system modded or get a flip top cover because the chances of Evo coming stateside are pretty grim. It'd be worth the $50 bucks or so that the flip top will cost you because there is so much stuff to do now. Quest mode seems much better than Kumite along with training challenges and other things. The one thing that sucks is in versus mode, the game will only recognize a memory card in slot 1. So no more customizing your character at home and then showing them off to others. Also, only two files per character can be saved on a single memory card. Cuts down loading time but also cuts down your options. /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif Anyway, it's discussed in more detail over in the console forum. I would just like to throw a sack full of bricks on a dead horse and say that console evo is excellent, although I'd like some translations for the tactics advice sections...

I'll have to throw ANOTHER sack full of bricks on and say that Evo easily has the most replay value in single player mode of any fighter. I don't see how the home versions of SC2 have a chance at being better than Evo in this aspect. Just going through and beating everything with one character will take a LONG time. You can beat the main portion of Quest mode and still be far from done. Did you clear 100% of the opponents in all arcades? Collect all the items and symbols? Beat all the tourneys at the Event Square (BTW why are those tourneys so $#$% hard?)? I could go on and on...Kudos to Sega for a masterful effort.
EmX: Did you see the translations for everything else in training mode over in the console section? We've been trying to translate the sub-quests over in the Kumite, Quest and Items forum. The first four arcades are done but I've only got a couple for Sega Arena Midtown and Uptown. There are 3 arcades after that as well, I believe...Tim, how about some help with these translations? /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Any of you guys be interested in going to the MoaT event in Toronto in July? It's a couple hours further than TiT was but I'd be willing to make the drive since it's a 3 day event...

Welcome to the world of Virtua Fighter. I'm glad there is one more soul out here in stl that is playing now. Good luck and study up as often as you can, because knowledge is a great key in this game.
