Sunday Night R.A.W., Season #2 -- Weekly Ranking Battles

• 0 Kyu must obtain +3 points to Rank UP.

 

I'm taking a guess, because I've never done a ruleset like this though. Right now, the rule is that the room lasts only until one guy Ranks UP, after which the rule is disbanded.

As far as time goes, if the rule is like that, rooms will last at minimum 10 minutes, based on a FT2 set. That's really short, but that's if the guy that Ranked UP pretty much mopped two opponents in a row, 3-0 rounds per match. (That's why its important that you guys don't let other players level up!) At max, I would imagine the room taking about 45-ish minutes, though technically the room could potentially stay up forever if results are back-and-forth enough.

However, this rule is meant to be flexible. it doesnt have to be that the room disbands after one guy Ranks UP; it could be after two guys, three guys, or even four guys Rank UP. How I will probably run it for #52 is that the room stays up until three players rank up (at least for 0 Kyu rank rooms). Of course, if you rank up, you will be invited back into a new room when its time for 1st Dan players to play.

The tl;dr is that "I don't know". Having not done this setup before, I'm guessing that rooms will last 20-30 min, depending on player skill.

What time would be good for you to play? 7pm? Later?

 

Also, I would like to say to everyone participating:

if you can, during R.A.W. #52, try and come to either my stream chat (recommended), or to the Shoutbox here on VFDC!

It will make it much easier for everyone to communicate who plays when and who is about to be invited into a room, how long the rooms stays up or when it is disbanded for the next room.

This R.A.W. will be new territory! Please understand that things might be a bit rough. Let me know any feedback (good AND bad) right here in the comments, before, during, and after each R.A.W.!
