Are you interested in playing a long set on stream with commentary? ANYONE is invited, skill level is NOT a factor, and new players are encouraged to join in!

Make a post and let us know you want to join!

We want more people to commentate! ANYONE is invited to commentate, whether you are a vet or a new player, or if you wanna commentate or just laugh and joke with the players! During or before the sets begin, use Skype and send a message or friend request to 'blackstar2478' to join in on the call! Limited space in the XBL room will also be made available for those who want to use XBL Chat!

How it works is like this:

Reply on this thread with your gamertag, the date you (and your opponent, if applicable) are available, location you play from, and what you would like to do, and you will be placed on a list of 'interested players' on the opening post (this post).

    For example:
    or like this
NOTE: If you have an opponent in mind, make sure that THEY REPLY IN THE THREAD TOO, OR THE REQUEST WON'T COUNT.

Also, NOTE: FT10's take FOREVER, so only especially hype matches get to do those.

IF YOU WANT A PRE-RAW INTERVIEW DONE, IT IS DONE BY REQUEST ONLY FROM NOW ON.
So, in other words, if you want an interview, just ask and I'll do it. If you're a spectator, and IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE SOMEONE GET INTERVIEWED, just ask me as well, and i'll try and arrange one with them if they want.

If there is a disconnection (DC) during a RAW set, neither player will win the match where the DC occurs (unless BLACKSTAR or designated person says otherwise).

Instead, both players will play the next match by first allowing each player to willingly give up the same number of rounds they had lost in the previous DC'd match, before playing out the rest of the match.

3 UNINTENTIONAL DC's are allowed in a RAW set. Any further DC's will result in the immediate end of the RAW set and a DRAW(can be overruled, if both participating players express that they wish to continue).

ANY 1 DC DEEMED INTENTIONAL by BLACKSTAR or designated person will result in the IMMEDIATE disqualification and loss of the entire RAW set for the offending player. A subsequent BAN from participation in future RAW events may also occur.

Sure, why not. Just see if your opponent is cool with it, and both of you guys let me know that that is what you want to do.

    Short answer: NO.

Long answer: Unless you have a good reason where its ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE to do RAW on a Sunday, then NO. Even if you do, note that we will work with you, but nothing will be guaranteed. I have my own life to live, after all. That being said, if you want to have a RAW match, but can't do Sundays, let us know here on the RAW thread, and we will work with you.

I've only played VF once or twice since US Sega cup, but I don't mind doing a 1 night stand and fucking someone up on PSN, they've always been small fry compared to XBL players after all.

I think its cool that half of the video are the fights, and the other half is all post-analysis stuff. I pretty much agree with everything I heard Tricky say. Listen to him!

I find this interesting. There does seem to be a tangible culture in competitive video games where we view psychological disadvantage as this stigmatized fatal flaw. Where gamers are treated as if they should be humiliated to even hint that they may not have been the psychologically stronger player. As if being stronger mentally but weaker overall is more "of a man" than anything less than being tip-top mental strength. This really is not the reality tho. Your mental strength should be closely correlated to your skill level if you are honest enough to judge your skills earnestly.

Given the lengthy discussion we've been having, and whatever it was said about boxer's by shiny, etc. I think a fantastic example of where the mental strength truly falls in competition is Roberto Duran vs Ray Leonard II. (Watch ESPN 30 for 30 'no mas'). Going into their first fight, ray leonard admits that he was intimidated and knew he was going to lose. And he did. He was by far the mentally weaker fighter. Yet, after all the dust settles, when the story is finished, Leonard proves himself to be the Mentally Stronger fighter.

I think VF players should view mental strength similarly. If you have a 'weak' psychology you should embrace it, you should be happy about it. I have a weak oki game. I play fairly well, but the oki game is a tremendous place for me to improve my strength. I have a weak low def game when i don't work on it. Another opportunity for improvement. By shoring up our deficiencies as a player, we become incrementally stronger and incrementally more consistent and solid. A poor mental game should be viewed the same way. When conscience of this fact, a player should make in-roads into viewing their mental approach to the game as a fluid improvable part of their game. This can be difficult to do, but so it is with trying to improve any ingrained part of our game. The important thing is to be aware, and to work.

Don't you get tired of asking people to FT10? No one is going to accept your challenge, their balls shrivel like raisins at the thought of it.

who wants to do a FT10 wolf vs wolf handicap match vs me?

i'll give whoever i go against 5 wins to start. hi!

better yet, my opponent can even form a wolf team of his own. i'll have to beat each player 10X, while I'll only have 10 lives total. oh, and yes, they still get to start at 5 wins. hello? any takers?

You should accept Chief Flash's challenge to wolf players, a few posts above. Raisins are on the line here.

If your raisin(s) are that big, you will beat Chief Flash no problems. This Sunday it is.
