I won't be able to make the tourney (I'm going to visit my great uncle, Llan will know why). I will probably be there in the evening though (5 or 6 -- I call Llan on his cell to let him know what I'm up to).

Damnit... this is what I get for dissapearing off the forums so often /versus/images/graemlins/mad.gif. Oh well... anything else coming up soon? Just wondering, because I've only really managed to make it to one of our gatherings before, but it was great, everyone was just having fun/helping each other out. Sadly, I don't live close enough (or have the means to conviently get to) Metro-Square, so I can't just pop in to play whenever /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif. Anyways, just want to make sure I know ahead of time when these things will be coming up in the future, 'cuz I'm looking forward to it!

where do you live? the group is sort of nomadic in that we will play where there's space. And soon EVO will be available for the home market so things become very transportable.

I'm a little further out east (Neilson-401) but the reason it's not easy for me to make it out to play at Metro-Square is that I'm only a high-school student, and I don't drive /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif, and it's about 1 1/2 hours to get out there on TTC. So I can only really make it out if I know things are happening well ahead of time, so I can plan to be at my friends house when it rolls around (he lives right at Warden and Steeles).

Anybody up for/planning some VF4 play in the near future (like, even this weekend)? Just wondering, because I've been feeling a need for human competition lately. None of my friends play/enjoy VF, and it's hard to find genuine fulfillment in defeating CPU opponents... besides, with how little competition I get against actual people, I should at least be good as a punching bag /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif... Vs. CPU's just not the same /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif. *sigh*...

Yeah, it's time for another Toronto bashing.

I have an exam this Friday and then I'm *DONE*. Woo. I would love to head down to Rochester - Shang and Hyun are da house - but I don't think that's going to work as I do have some plans with the wife.

On another subject: Is anybody here planning on attending Evolution 2003? I was just reading about it, and damn, does it make me wish I was a better player! I'm thinking I might try to make it down anyways. I'd register for VF, even though I wouldn't have a hope /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif, but I'm hoping I can hold my own at SC2 /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif. Anyways, I just want to know if anybody here was even thinking about it (I'm going to be training hella' hard, just in case I do decide to go /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif).

and... I finally found some evo machines in kitchener/waterloo!! My friends found 2 machines at U of W.. Gonna head there tommorow and check it out =]

Evolution 2K3

Llan and myself are going to Evolution 2003, and I think BMF is thinking about going (he better go, or else Llan won't give him the satisfaction of seein the towel dance again). Weekly gatherings sound good to anyone? I know that people won't be able to make it all the time, but I'm sure that Llan and myself would appreciate the competition to prepare us for the tourney. /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I'm definately down for some weekly gatherings. I'm also now leaning towards going to Evo, myself (with no delusions of winning, btw). More for the experience, I want to see the best players first hand. But yeah, practice will be needed, so set some shit up quick! We should have plenty of time to play this summer, too... since MoAT got canned...

Me and Llan just got back from nyc and I'm already itching to play a lot of VF to improve my game. It seemed like people were eager to have weekly gatherings not to long ago...is anybody still interested? Reno, kbcat, Llan, Plasma, Fokfu, Ken, b4k4??? Weekend afternoon/evenings are fine for me...
