This weekend I am foreseeing as being next to impossible. I have too much going on. Next weekend will be more doable - even an evening during the week?

I'm good to go to a gathering pretty much whenever.

Llan/Reno: Just make sure that if you work something out, you post it over in the SC2 forums, I think a bunch of those guys might be interested in getting serious into VF4:Evo. I think that the majority of them will be able to pick up/comprehend just about the entire system in under a week... the ones who are serious about it, anyways... A lot of them are already picking characters they want to learn.

Allright, this week has been pretty fucked up for me...I just moved this sunday and will be without an internet connection probably till friday, and am insanely busy with school. Thankfully, I finally found a computer that will let me log into VFDC here at UofT.

We can hold some gatherings at my old apartment till October 31st, but keep in mind that the place is EMPTY...no tv, chairs, tables etc...so people would have to bring their own stuff. So, people should throw out some ideas...Anyways, Friday's are the only good days for me for at lest the next two maybe three weeks as I have a lot of work and need the weekend.

Secondly, I got a PM from Yama saying he'll be arriving in Toronto this Friday at 3:45pm I believe. Problem is that I don't have a means of picking him up from the airport...So I was wondering if someone could pick him up and drop him off at my apartment...I can get to my apartment at around 4-4:15pm as I finish school at 3:00pm on fridays. Furthermore, this friday would probably be a good time to hold a gathering at the apartment anyway.

sorry dude. i changed plan. yesterday immigration officer called, and he said i could stay here longer. so i don't have to leave here right now. uh... sorry BMF, llan, Reno...

<font color="white">re Gathering:</font> Not an issue for equipment, etc. I have the monitor, and I also have a second TV to donate to the empty apartment. I also have little stands for them. So, that's 2 displays, and of course my PS2 is available for anyone to use. I know I don't mind playing from the floor, but people should bring a pillow etc for themselves to stay comfortable. BMF, can you PM your phone number so I can arrange with you to drop some of this stuff off - myabe this weekend...I can't play, but I can contribute to the setup.

Okay, how about we set up some sort of gathering for the 25th or 26th? One of those days should be good for most people, right? Aren't Shang and Rich coming up on the 25th anyways?

There's no way I'm gonna be able to play this saturday or sunday, a midterm was scheduled for the monday after like literaly last week...but you guys are welcome to have your gathering as Yama will be staying there anyway.

Friday is much better for me, so if anyone can also play on Friday just PM me for directions to the apartment, I can get there at 4:00pm.

And YES I'll let SC2 players attend...but just this one time! /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

One more thing, the boston guys are not coming anymore.

My dear Toronto VFers,

I check this thread every other day in hopes that I will see someone, *someone*, pick up the torch and keep the Toronto scene alive. I don't have very much time to spend organizing these days but I would love to get together with people to play from time to time.

There was interest from the SC2 players - where has that gone?!

Without even the slightest of efforts from you all, you will see nothing happen in our city where VF has the potential for an active scene.

I fear that if I drop out and stop the organizing, that the scene will die - some might argue that has already happened. So if you're happy with the way things are turning out with VF in Toronto, great, keep doing what your doing. Otherwise, get off your lazy asses and do something about it.

I'm afraid that I won't be able to play until my exams are over on Dec 18th. I would love to play but I honestly don't have any time right now...these days I'm at school till 8pm maybe even 9pm...

Unfortunately, I think the Toronto VF scene is just down to me and you...pretty sad...

Anyways, if I have some free time I'll let you know so that you can drive down to the "BRIDGE" and we'll have some VF matches.

I'm off to study.

 

hey guys...i'm practicing everyday in quest(about 1300+ matches with Pai and 700+ sarah)...i do want to meet u guys, but work is pissing me.....now i work in pmall, mostly weekend's busy hours, that really sucks....

actually, i do see one or two guy play VF4@FL, looks like regular players....maybe i should ask them to this site next time...

I'd been checking this thread every day, for quite some time. I gave up, though, because nobody ever posted anything. The Toronto SC2 scene is still quite alive, and well. I think that the interest is still there, but the VF4 community is going to have to try and do their part, too. SC people have expressed their interest... so I suppose the ball is in your court, now. I propose trying to organize some kind of joint gathering. SC2 and VF4... that way even the people not really interested in VF4 will get to see it, and perhaps find they want to try it, too. The next time a large gathering is announced over at SC.com, I'll let you guys know, and we'll see what we can do from there.

I really want to play some real people! Quest mode just doesn't cut it... I'm probably the worst player ever, due to bad habits vs. AI...
