PS. why do they ban certain characters for the SC2 tourney? ppl who use those characters are sorta screwed...

Hahaha. Reno made the rules. Calm down guys, d+P isn't banned. Did you see the list of SC2 shit that's banned? It's almost pure jokes. He even banned one of our best players. Nothing in VF4:Evo is banned, as far as I know.

Stuff that's seriosuly banned: Astaroth's ATC's. These are crazy ass glitches, that give him 90% combos. Dirty stuff. Necrid, Heihachi, Lizard Man, Beserker, and Assassin are also actually banned. I don't want to go into reasons as to why, but nobody plays them anyways, so it shouldn't be a problem (if you do play any of them, grow up and play a real character!).

AZN Rice master: Chill, buddy. You might want to watch what you say about Reno, too, since he'll probably rape you in both games.

It's $10 to play. If you just want to watch, feel free to show, I guess. It'll be pretty crowded, though. You should play anyways, so it doesn't matter!

What's up people?

Well, it's a new year, and I think that a revitalization of Toronto Virtua Fighter is long overdue. I'm afraid I don't have any ideas to put forward right now. I was thinking of trying to have regular, bi-weekly gatherings, to keep us all competitive, and playing. The problem is I can't offer my place for any such gatherings, since it's far too small, and my parents don't really like having my friends over.

Anyways, just my dreaming... but I hope that some people are willing to take initiative to make something like this happen.

Toronto's "Get that shit to France!" Tournament

* When: January 31

* Where: Net Effect Cafe - 9 Isabella St, just south of the Bloor/Yonge intersection.

* Time: 12:00pm start time

* Format: Ironman format

* Rules: All standard rules apply.

* Entry: $0

There is no entry fee for VF4e tourney, but you are more than welcome to give some money as a donation. These tournaments are being run primarily to raise money for the 8 individuals who are going to represent Canada in France for a large game tournament.. Remember, the more we get, the less that the people going have to pay for extras. Everyone on the team has to pay about $500 - $600 for their flight to France, so if we can gather up somewhere around $300 - $400 for all 8 people to use for food and whatnot, it will be a much smaller hit on their pocketbooks than if we didn't do this at all. Most of you guys know b4k4 and myself, and we are two of the eight who are going to France for this tournament. I made VF4 no entry fee, but if you can spare even $5 or $10 for the cause, that would be greatly appreciated.
