Almost exactly what he said. I agree. Please treat the above opinion as it were mine.

VF2011 - Yeah. I forgot about how patronizing the marketing for DoA was. Yikes!

I always thought Eileen's character design looked like she belonged in DOA, so Yeah ,I'd sign off on VF vs DOA. It's the only way VF would get any in game cut scenes and uneven stages back from VF3. We invented it, we need to take it back.

Eileen looks more Tekken to me but that's mostly the haircut.

She doesn't have the boobs to be in DOA.

But lordy, if she did, watching those things bounce while she hops around like a monkey...

There is a severe lack of VF fanfiction and pornography. This crossover could help rectifying that shortcoming.

I just searched for VF on pixiv... not a good idea.

Oh boy, I can't wait for Virtua Fighter beach volleyball. It'll be like the Saturn CG collection, but with bad karaoke music.

But seriously, don't ruin Virtua Fighter, please.

I don't get why everyone is so against a VF vs DOA game. I mean, all you really have to do is give VF characters reversals. Though, it would be hard to find that defining line for stages as DOA characters tend to do extreme amounts of knockback attacks, so ring outs would be kind of hard to implement. Other than that, DOA 5 has lowered the frames for counters so there's less spamming and less recovery from the attempted hold so you can do some real punishment. I think it's a great idea and I would whole-heartedly buy it!

I bought DOA5 because of the presence of Pai and Akira but I can't manage to enjoy the DOA5 system....

I feel like that's the only way they could do it. Since VF characters essentially already got the DoA treatment with DoA5. So it would make sense to do it the other way around this time... right?... right!?

I'm more hoping for a VF6 at this point. But I'm down for nearly every 3D game that hits the street.

all previous VF titles have been released with a new console generation, haven't they?

I don't think it would make sense, especially with DOA's extreme knockback attacks. They wouldn't be able to implement ring outs, but probably more interactive and tiered stages like DOA. Also, the countering system is the most important and one of the main features in DOA, so they probably wouldn't "out" that function either. And since DOA5 wasn't a crossover, it would only make sense that the VF characters would take on the DOA system as a means of guest characters in that game.

Yes they would be able to implement ring outs. Look at what DOA did with the VF characters. They gave some of their moves those knockback properties. If you put them in a VF system, then all you do is take away the knockback properties. Simple.

It doesn't work that way. DOA only gave VF characters some knock back attacks, but DOA is ALL knock back attacks. If you change it so the DOA characters don't have knock back, you're pretty much taking away all of their moves, while if we used the DOA system, you're only adding attacks to the VF characters and not depleting them of anything.

Not everything in DOA knocks back. A great deal of their moves do, but not "ALL". And by removing their knockback properties in a VF game, that's not taking away their moves. There's a big difference between completely removing a move and changing the property of it. I mean, look at DOA5 now with the VF characters. They have the same exact moves (save Sarah, her critical burst move is actually a new move that wasn't in VF at all) only now with different properties. Some of their moves knockback and some of their moves that didn't stun before now stun because they've been adjusted to be used in DOA. And the same can easily be done for DOA characters to play in a VF system. Move properties would change. So yes, it IS simple.

Another good example of this in action would be Fighter's Megamix. You had the option of either selecting either the VF system or the FV system. If you were playing in a VF system, the FV characters lost all of the knockback from their moves that had them and also lost the ability to air tech. A lot of the same combos could not be done due to the change in physics since the physics in FV were a lot more floaty. They were playing as if they were made for VF. In a FV system, the VF characters gained those same abilities from the FV system. The only thing the VF characters didn't get was the armor that the FV characters naturally had. They could air tech, had knockback on some of their attacks, and could do combos not possible if they were playing in their native VF system.

I don't want to see this. I hate it when new games drop right after VF comes out. Really any time a new fighting game drops and it saps the vf players. Also i feel like vf is so sublime that doing a cross with another game will water it down. Even if they just added DOA characters into the vf framework, vf already has 19-ish characters...

But who knows, maybe i'd love it and just don't realize.
