I really like how he mentions that PS3 tekken will now be delayed cause they have to port it to 360... The game they're porting isn't even out in arcades yet and the port has only just been announced!

Where the fudge is the delay?

Music has never skipped or faded for me on my 360. Why do people so ferociously defend one console and bash another? Can't we all just play on what we can and enjoy the games we get? What makes gaming on a PS3 much different from playing on a 360? When you get down to it it's pretty much the same thing. Unless one has financial ties to the success of Sony and the Playstation brand, I don't see why they must bash one console in favor of the other.

    Its called Fanboyism lol!

I Don 'tLike Sony because they ran bullish tatics on my Beloved Dreamcast and Sega Saturn.Systems that gave me Every fighting game i every wanted with almost pinpoint accuracy. Not that i don't like Sony or nothing but.....Sega made VF man and Sony did some Ol' Bullshit. Every Kingdom must fall.First Nintendo then the Yanks now Sony. This Marks the Deathblow for The PS3 system not sony.

Well, PS3 has Quantum Theory which looks really good, so I wouldn't say PS3 is dead quite yet. Plus it has the cheapest blu ray player you can get, which is also a plus for it. I don't think a fighting game going multi platform will bring the death of the beast that is Playstation.

I have been a sony hater for a long time, since they took out sega saturn and I never fully got over it. Yeah sure PS2 rocked, but really I've been waiting for sony to fall so i could laugh and say they got what they deserved. Granted I never let my bias affect my analysis of their system, I'm just bitter.

SEGA did it to themselves. This idiots didn't realize 3D was the future and decided to add the chipset on the last minute to the Saturn. The dreamcast was doing fine, but Japan wanted a RIDICULOUS amount of Dreamcast sold every month, so they canned it. And the PS2 having DVD helped alot.

This fools are know in the industry for losing source codes to their games(Panzer, for example)They recently found a room full of SEGA stuff over their U.S office's. Worst management in the biz. 32X being release during the height of the Saturn was a BIG no, no. So how is this SONY's fault? When Nintendo and Sega made it REAL easy for SONY during that gen. SONY is not to blame, is SEGA for horrendous management.

The PS3 situation is similar to Nintendo's arrogance back in the 90's. I mean, this company(SONY)was saying stupid shit like"You'll need to get two jobs if you want this system" WTF. Is good MS is being very active on snatching properties for their portfolio. It reminds me on how SONY was back then. History is a motherfucker, Nintendo was a ass back then, Now is SONY. I'm sure SONY will learn form their mistakes. Monopoly is never good folks.

Nice post, SF. You're absolutely right, I use to hate Sony back in the days too for kicking Sega's ass during their most heated console wars but, they did mess up really hard.
Lol, it's easy to forget your favorite company's blunders. I had a friend of mine, Nintendo fanatic, who would make pretend like the Virtual Boy (was that the name of that stupid system that would give people headaches?) never happened /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

I buy consoles by which games attract me.

Halo 3, Gears of War ond DOA4 attracted me to the 360.

Mariokart and no more heroes attracted me to the Wii.

Tekken 6 would have made me get a PS3 but now it's coming to the 360.

There is nothing left on the PS3 to make me want it.

At least they have Yakuza 3....it's ironic that the game that could be considered the spiritual successor to Shenmue is coming out for PS3 and nothing else.....

If Gran Turismo 5 comes to 360, then theres nothing more interesting for me in the PS3.

They could keep it. Forza 2 is deeper.

I bet that's what happened to Golden Axe: Revenge Of Death Adder. The best Golden Axe and the only other game in the series made by the original creator. It's never made it to console and never seems to get mentioned, this would explain why.

Yeah Sega did seem to make a lot of blunders like the Mega CD, 32X, Game Gear that eats batteries and the Saturn which was difficult to develop for and much more expensive than the Playstation.

The new PS3 game Yakuza 3 got mentioned and that is an amazing looking game. It's also probably what Shenmue 3 would have looked like in terms of gameplay and graphics.

I like how this thread started making fun of how fanboist PS owners are, and turned into a sony hate fest. Who are the real fanbois here?

Tekken 4 takes too much flak IMO. It had its problems to be sure, but if you took out Jin, it was pretty balanced as far as Tekken goes. I also liked how combo damage was reasonable. The damage is just way too high in 5 and 6.

it'd be like hating on VF for having dural. Sure she's in there but without her he game is completely balanced (relative term that I agree with but it's still relative).

Tekken players hated T4 because they took away all the crazy combos and junk. T4 is still my favorite tekken ever because Ling Rocked people's socks when I played her.

The combo damage in Tekken 4 is one of the things that Namco got right. In Tekken 5 and 6, the damage is just ridiculous, especially with the walls. With the wall ukemi taken out, everyone could do a lot of damage with the walls in Tekken 5. Tekken 6 just made everything worse with the new wall system and bound. The game still has major gaps in the tiers (compare Hwoarang and Kazuya, for instance), but I think that it matters less when any character can land a launcher and carry them to the wall for a combo that does damage over half-life. You can be losing by a fair margin, then land one of these combos which are common enough and be back in the game. The rage shit just makes things worse in this regard. Tekken 6 is the scrubbiest Tekken of the series. Ask any Tekken veteran which game in the series is best played competitively, and I'll bet you that none of them will say Tekken 5 or 6. Personally, I would choose Tekken 4 over those games any day.

The things about Tekken 4 that sucked the most was Jin being so powerful and the infinite combos you could pull off, especially on Heihachi's stage. However, I still say that Tekken 4 was better than what we have now.

Tekken 6 was never a exclusive to begin with anyway. Is a Namco I.P. Fans assume it was PS3 only. I don't see it as a bad thing is coming to multi-consoles. The majority of people follow games, not consoles. Most of my friends who are avid NBA2K8 fans, had PS2's to play their previous titles, but now, the majority of them are 360 owners now. They miss the PS pad, but they don't care, they want to play their game, no matter what console is on. And the price and LIVE was a deciding factor as well.

It would of sucked if most of my friends had to shell out a extra, let say, 500+ dollars in order to play a game. Now they don't have to. Especially the way the economy is going. You could see why SONY is investing alot into their first party studios.

I find it funny on how Namco is getting very buddy, buddy with MS, when SEGA is doing the same with SONY with their I.P.'s(Yakuza and Valkyrie to name a few)

No. Just no. And if any Tekken players say Tekken 4 is the best played competitively, shoot them.

Combo damage isn't that remarkable anymore, this seems to be some notion that has survived since the early versions of the game. Average juggle damage is percentually about the same or even less then DR. Sure, wall damage is high, but that's the game.

I have a few friends who just came home from Japan (serious Tekken players), they said japanese players think the game is fairly well balanced right now.

Rage is not even that big of a deal. It's like losing on a random ringout in VF.
