Tekken 6 on 360?

Maddogjin is an elite player, so his success is largely based on that. However, when up against other elite players using higher tiered characters, I've seen him get raped. Also, do you see the title "2004 Korea Champ" under his name? That is from winning a tournament in which he used 5.0 Steve to get to the finals. In the final matches that he won, he used Hwoarang vs. lower tiered characters. These were Han's Lee and Angel Jin's Jin, who also used higher tiered characters to get to the finals, I believe. Maddogjin realized that Hwoarang wasn't effective against the higher tiers, which is why he used Steve.

No I'm not. The differences between the high and low tiers are egregious.

True, but that would only be a problem if Kaz lacked mid launchers, which he doesn't. And besides, EWGF is better than those launchers on the whole. JFSR is also mid, but if I had to choose between the two, I'd take EWGF any day.

I think that you'll see less of the huge damage wall combos in VF5R than in Tekken 5/6. As I said, those kinds of combos are started from the opponent being right up to the wall. Show me one of those huge damage wall combos being made starting from, say, a quarter ring length away from the wall, and maybe I'll agree with you.
