Tekken 6BR system

The lag frustrates me so badly I'll get pissed and log off to play ghost mode.

I played a dude last night and the connection was FLAWLESS. Like he was right in the room with me! After one match, he leaves.

What gives? Was it not lagging enough for him???

I seriously hope they can get the online working better cause they game is very fun and has A LOT to offer. I can definitely find good connections but they aren't too common. I honestly think they should region lock the game or whatever so you can only be matched with people from your global area. There's just no point in trying to play someone from Spain in this game, it's NOT going to work.

NAMCO should make it so if you're in the US, you can only be matched with other players in the US (in ranked). In player match, play whoever you want, but ranked either needs to be in-country/continent only or have a maximum ping as a cut-off for who you can play.

They should also have the option to rematch so you can stick with someone you have a good connection with for more than one game...

I consider Tekken 6 online as part of my underwater Kung fu training I look at the match as if we are both fighting underwater and then I adjust my game accordingly. So you've heard of Mantis style, Tiger style, Snake style etc. I have developed a style based on 'deep sea kung fu' I call
it MantaRay-eel style

A true kung fu master can overcome in any kind of elemental conditions in extreme cold, or even when fighting while on fire. Being able to fight underwater is a prerequisite to truly
reaching the 36th Chamber

Masterpo's description sounds just like VF5 online to me.

 

Trust me on this: VF5 online is 100 times better than T6 online atm. it MAY be possible to play an ok match with someone who lives in the same city or at most 100 km away, but even in that case it may randomly lag and disconnect.

The online for Tekken is doo-doo.

 

I love Miguel. He is my main guy right now. I'm not used to playing a stance-heavy character so it's a fun change for me. Plus, the name "Savage Stance" is so savagely cool ... Miguel has some really nice combos IMO. They're savage!

I've also been messing around with Drago a little bit, because people were talking about him here, and he is a really cool character. I agree, he is very Goh-ish with his mid attack arsenal, his non-forward-advancing kicks and his cool throws and hit-throws, he even has the tackle! IMO, Drago is a more powerful character than Miguel as far as I can tell, he has a lot of good tools. I read his major weakness is his linearity, so he is weak against side steps. Once I get my movement and stepping down better, so I can punish off well timed side steps, I think my game will come together nicely.

QUESTION FOR THE EXPERTS: Who was invented first, Goh or Sergei Dragonov???

I really do pray they patch the online well, the game is really fun. They should just call up SEGA and offer to buy their netcode design. If I could reliably get good matches I'd be happy as a clam.

 

Goh came in VF4:Evo and Dragunov in T5R so Goh's been around a lot longer.

 

They are working on the netcode patch, hopefully the connection can be fixed. However, after 2 weeks playing TK6 in casual way, I barely find any attractive part to keep this game except the pretty air combos.... I'm surprise how you guys can adjust to different fighting game system so well AFTER playing VF, especially if you belong to hard core VF fans here.

I bought the special edition, sort of impulsively and because I wanted a second stick. The idea of a new game with different characters and styles seemed a lot cooler than the reality of the game. I have yet to have the experience that makes me personally want to understand the game anymore than I do. And its strong point - the huge roster - is just annoying to me. I have not even bothered to learned how to defend strings from Shun Brad Eileen or Vanessa. I don't know that I want space in brain to be occupied by knowing Kangaroo or Breakdancer strings.

The systems in VF seem a lot better designed, even if there a lot of things I would like to see tweaked.

Especially:

Movement, throwing, wake-up, evading...

And the art direction is not really my style. I could elaborate, but it is hard to do so without coming across as sneering and derisive. If Tekken is right up anyone's alley, more power to them. I am just shocked that anyone who likes VF would find in T6 something to get them away from VF5. I prefer VF3, 4, and Evo drastically over T6 personally, but maybe I am a weirdo.

Stupid SEGA won't release R. Ima teach them a lesson by quitting VF and getting a new favorite game and playing the shit out of it!
