I can't be bothered tbh. You can try to defend your opinion if you want, but I'm sticking to my statement:

    No changes = false.

Seriously now, VF5R is 1½ years old, any window of releasing the game is gone, hopefully Sega is moving on.

    @EMPNova

The game looks like dogshit in CTF. If they actually had those LCD's they use in the ViewFlex cabinets or the ones they use in hospital's it would've been a different story. Those Samsungs LCD are straight trash, all of them........Except that Samgsung LCD that goes for 5,000$ and the blacks are close to a plasma, but what's the point when you could get a Panasonic V10 or even a G10 for under 1,800$ G10's go for 800$ now....

Anyway, the game on my PS3 and 360 looks better than CTF on my SONY CRT HDTV, and KURO.

I ain't defending shit im just stating my claims. FUCK NOW TEKKEN WHAT!!!!! Mindless ass video game lol!!! I can say that because i know how to play it. you that the same shit you did in the Tekken 3,4 and 5 still applies 90% of the time. Im a fan of Tekken and i find it to be a good game but lets face it.....its trash this time around. Shit Tekken 4 was weak and namco rebounded with tekken 5 which brought it back to the roots.

@Jeneric - its one of those i'll leave the window open if it makes it way home situations. Until then i'll keep myself occupied with plenty other things.

Am I the only one that thinks the stages are garbage?

Yeah? I really like the stages. In-fact I think I like nearly all of them except for the temple one where it's all dark with blue flames, and Jin's throne stage.

I think this Tekken has the worst OST of all of them. Only tune I really like is fiesta del tomatoe. So I just crank out my T3 soundtrack sometimes.

Aesthetically this is the worst Tekken ever. Awful presentation, horribly dull music, boring stages, just mediocre all around. I really hope Tekken 7 moves away from this game as much as possible.

Moonlit Wilderness is the one i can't get out of my head. Probably has to do with stage select, it was first chocie to the left from random IIRC?

Nah the Tomato fight is Nice, The destroyed tunnel is good and i like the rustic asian area just as much. The Temple on the ocean is cool but the music is annoying.

EmpNova, nice post over at Zaibatsu in the Tekken 6 gameplay improvement thread. I think it's safe to say you won the thread.

I'm a fan of the OST, but only a few tracks really stand out to me. T5's soundtrack was a lot more unique and risque.

Most of the complaints about T6's gameplay (from Tekken Zaibatsu) are:

Juggles are too long - I don't think people even feel that the damage is too high, it just takes way too long. I totally agree on this point. You can play entire rounds where you spend more time floating than you do actually playing mind games. That sucks. I could care less about the damage, VF5 has some big damage combos, but they're short and sweet just they way they should be...

Movement/Evading - NAMCO needs to do evades the same way as VF. Otherwise, it's too unreliable and random which makes them much less useful than they should be... Just steal the system from VF, it's vastly superior to NAMCO's "random evade" that makes them garbage. Then they can just do away with the homing/tracking moves altogether and make them half circulars. It's the only way to make the evades better and have an actual system instead of randomness. Beyond that, the movement in VF is much better and more crisp, it's not even close.

Unblockables - I think a lot of players want them to just be guard crushes at this point. Speed them up a little bit and make them break guard, but this long wind-up for half your life is really dumb.

Rage - Emp Nova shut the Rage system down in a thread on Tekken Zaibatsu... Great post man. Rage doesn't help new players, it hurts them. The "catch-up" type of systems are crap in every genre of game. Reminds me of NBA Jam where it doesn't matter how well you play cause the CPU will just help your opponent catch up. Or when they have it in a racing game and you just go faster when you behind, makes the game worse and less skill-based... It's a bad feature in ANY competitive game IMO...

Too many characters - I somewhat agree with this. At some point you need to stop adding characters and make the characters you have more compelling to play. 40+ guys is a few too many. 20-25 should probably be the absolute maximum in a game like this. It's all string based and the memorization required isn't nuanced in the way it should be so it ends up being bad. It doesn't add that much depth when you're just trying to remember every characters' string patterns, it's not that fun. It does add some depth but not necessarily in a good way IMO. I think 10-hit combos gotta go period. They are a stupid antique game system that ends up just being another cheesy memorization exercise.

    What do you guys think???

I think most of these complaints are pretty practical and would make the game a little better. I'm not saying it's a bad game, there are just a lot of systems/design choices I think could be done better, tweaked or left out altogether.

I don't see the point of turning Tekken into VF, VF already exists. The games are already painfully close to each other as it is.

Alot of the plethora of strings issues I got with the game, I just avoid them with backdash cancel stuff and evades so they whiff.

Up close I'm in trouble though, I have no idea what's coming most of the time. I got to be up close on my terms.
