At least you can reset the ring position now. Tekken 4 offered the closest thing to VF's Command Training. Unfortunately, it only ran you through a limited set of commands for each character.

Who originally said the netcode was better than blazblue?

It's definitely not even in the same league as Blazblue but finding a good connection is easily possible. When I play ranked, probably 2/3's of the games are fine.

I think the training mode hads good things about it. The abilitly to set the CPU to perform certain moves from the moves list is great.

Does anyone know where i can find plainly laid out T6BR frame data? Trying to learn Tekken has really made me appreciate VFDC, where everything is nicely presented to newbies on a plate.

Yeah, this stands in for record mode well enough. The one thing I do wish it had was the ability to set the cpu to guard and counter-attack with a jab or some type of punisher. That would at least let you figure out which of your moves are unsafe and by how much.

If anyone wants to test my Miguel or King, let me know... I'm ready for you!

The T6 netcode is one of, if not the, worst that I have ever encountered. There is only quickmatch too, you cant choose who you play or decline a match either.

As far as I know there isnt really any framedata available. If im wrong, please point me to it.

The only thing I heard about frames is this hearsay that everybodys basic punches would be same speed, ie. 10 frames.. with the exception of Ganryu..12. This is hearsay. Ive not really dredged tekken zaibatsu or anything.

Got back from an anime con where they had a T6:BR machine, and played it seriously for the first time ever. That experience has probably spoiled what occasionally slightly good matches I might get online now.

I do want to ask, how do the wall breaks work, and whats the best way to juggle off them?

Finally got my T6 copy this weekends and I'm impressed with the direction that they went with the new characters. They all have unique fighting styles that are very original and further bridge the gap between 2D and 3D fighters with even more unrealistic but cool moves than any other Tekken to date.

I still can't believe that Raven is bottom tier. He has some of the coolest moves I have ever seen... but I'm guessing they're not very useful [IMG] Oh well, he's still a badass.
Bruce is almost too much for me right now. He used to be so simple to play and now it's like I gotta relearn him all over again. It's not a bad thing but I can tell that it's going to take me a long time to get familiar with him again.
There's just waaaaaay too much that I can do with him, so much so that my mind drifts away thinking of all of the setups and applications to his deep arsenal.

Have any of you guys looked closely at Tekken to see what makes the moves look so hard-hitting? I have and it's kinda funny to see all those little explosions and debris flying everywhere. There's even a sort of like time-warp implosion of sorts on some of those attacks, lol.

One characters stands out as the hardest-hitting and most vicious and that's Dragunov. With his throws and grabs it's not even about all that extra explosions and crap, it's just really fierce execution. All fighting games should try to make all of their character's throws look as vicious as Dragunov's.

All that praise... but I was still playing VF at the end of the day, lol. What can I say? I really like T6 but I love VF <3

Im actually very impressed by tekken 6 system and mechanics. They reduced the craziness in OKI, and replaced it with more emphasis on bringing someone to the wall. Alot of the moves that used to hit on the ground dont.. feels like hop kicks are more slower and punishable. Sidewalking seems alot less random, and works a lil better.. sidestepping, i never used as a tekken player, always sidewalked.. IMO it feels alot more balanced than DR, and im happy with the changes. However online, is garbage. the only person i have good conection is with is, kamais ookin who lives like few hrs away.. the rest of the ppl i played with, i cannot... I rather play offline.

TK6 feels like Vf5 without so many variables and less emphasis on sidestepping.. basically feels like a 2d vf.

The moves seem stronger because of a few differences.

    Harder sounds

    explosions

More dynamic animations, like comic books.

    Further throw backs

moves feel heavier or safer on impact, exaggerated block stuns.

    more screen shake

strong moves cause a knock down more often

It's like their attacks lean more toward med and fierce hits in street fighter, VF is more like weak and med for the same stuff.

There is some frame data on Tekkenzaibatsu, but not for Tekken 6. You can find it on the home page in the "games" button. I wish this stuff would come built in to the practice menu.

Dragunovs the muh-fuking man....I love this new Tekken...its so juggly...lol..but I would dump it in the garbage for a console version of R...every time I play with Bruce I get upset with Sega for not releasing R.....Tekken is fun but a bit to over the top….having fun with NBA 2K10 and with Modern Warfare 2 just around the corner its all good. Maybe I should just save up and buy a Virtua Fighter 5 R arcade machine.

Yeah "The Son Of Russia" Drago, is my main in Tekken 6BR. For the simple reasons some of you folks mention(Homeboy plays like Goh)And plus, he's the only character that makes sense to me in this game, movelist wise. Leo is my sub, that bitch is too fierce! lol.
My custom character's thanks to the screen shot saver of the PS3.

Man I'm learning Yoshi, first time ever playing tekken and it's hard dude.

I would learn Dragunov (I played Goh) but his stance looks like dude has a perminent rectal itch or something. Mad annoying to look at.

Yep, theres a distortion effect on some moves (all? or does it depend on damage?), I saved some replays and its clearly visible in the slow-mo when I win a round.

I like Miguel and King... King has always been my main guy in Tekken but I love Miguel's hard-hitting, street boxing style. He has some cool stuff and his stance is awesome. He just sticks his chin out like, "hit me" and he has some great moves out of it. He does seem to get stuffed a lot though, he's really straight-forward and he's not very tricky...

BTW - Tekken Zaibatsu is a pretty sorry page for Tekken. Some of the requests in their feedback thread are so fucking stupid it hurt me to read them.

Stuff like "make the graphics better..." WTF???

or, "I sent NAMCO a message asking how to stop people from spamming moves so the pros can beat the semi-pros and amateurs..."

If I'm the mod of that site and I'm reading this garbage, I'd ban these idiots permanently, just for being that stupid. It's beyond obvious this person doesn't have the mental capacity to offer anything worthwhile to the Tekken community.

It's an extremely noobish site, for lack of a better word...

I think one of the mods there did say that they felt that 95% of the regular posters were morons and if they had the chance and the ability, they'd ban every single one of them.

It's just another thing that makes you appreciate VFDC more.
