Tekken 6BR system

What is the best site to learn Tekken combos? Like how VFDC above has these nice organized commands lists, glossary, wiki, and of course fully up to date combo lists?

Does Tekken Zaibatsu have anything like this? Do any Tekken sites have a complete list of T6BR combos like VFDC has?

VFDC/TZ/SRK are all pretty much the same age (1999-2000) though everyone had been meeting on USENET and IRC years before.

The difference is that SRK and TZ are awful for learning almost anything it seems like (though SRK has some nice ST info). Whereas VFDC is incredibly organized.

 

Yeah, when I read that someone's feedback about the game is "make the graphics better" I feel like these people hurt the fighting game community. Nothing about netcode, gameplay, specifics or really anything constructive, just "make the graphics better..."

I wish these people wouldn't post anything at all. If I work for NAMCO and I want feedback and I read that thread, 99% of what is said could be right on and then you read that and go, "never mind, these people are complete idiots who know nothing about fighting games or even gaming in general, I'll take all of this feedback with a grain of salt."

Having people like that posting on your site actually does more damage to the credibility of the site and the other posters there than almost anything. They are the ones give developers the impression that everything needs to be dumbed-down, easy, flashy and "have good graphics"...

The mods of that site would only be doing themselves a favor by banning these people and would help the FG community as whole by sweeping these idiots right under the carpet. They make the rest of the fighting gamers and serious forum posters look bad.

 

After you start recognizing the more experienced players that post on TZ finding good info in the character specific forums gets a little easier.

 

After messing around with Steve's new stuff I'm almost tempted to go back to my namesake. Should I be ashamed?

Steve is seriously nasty in this game. He has the brutal rushdown. He's super fast, I think because he's all punches. Plus, he has spiked brass knuckles as an item to scar my beautiful Miguel's face

BTW, I think Eddy Gordo will always be my least favorite character in any video game. Just mash kick and don't stop until the match is over. You're bound to some crazy flips and sweeps so why actually do anything on purpose?

Yeah, Drag was my character before I even played VF...so I guess technically I'm a Drag player who rocked El Blaze.

 

Used to play Christie/Eddy, too. Good times, man. Good times.

Ash, I remember that. I think the number was 99% though. Go to T6 General and look at all of the locked threads there. I understand why Myke disabled the poll function on this site when I look at TZ.

TZ does have organized combo lists. Go to the character boards and the combo threads should be stickied. The combos discovered are collated on the first page when the mod(s) feel like it.

 

I remember you telling me that on the shoutbox, but I couldn't remember the exact number. I knew it was ridiculously high though.

 

Do you guys think we should make another thread for knowing which charas people use for their main?


Well I use Lili as my main, used Paul in 5DR, but i changed. Paul is kinda boring to play for me.

And I use Alisa as my sub, but im sooo bad at using her.

I wanna try to use Zafina and Bob as well, but i dont have enough time to play...


Man, Tekken has too many charas...

 

There are a huge number of characters in this game. It's hard for me to pick a main with the game being this fresh in my hands still. I play best with Asuka, but that's because I mained her in T5 pre-DR. I'd like to main Xiao like I did in T4, she's soooo much fun to win with and stylish.

 

I messed around with Bob, Wang and Leo. But in the end Leo really struck a chord with me, I really like her design, and her attacks and movements remind me of Lei-Fei and Akira, Bob is also cool, I cant believe how fast he is . Eventually I'd like to also try Steve and King.

Anyone got any tips on how to beat Eddy and Whore-ang spam? I can never seem to punish

 

Some one on SRK posted (or re-posted they claim) a post originally by Markman saying that he had done work and NAMCO has agreed to patch Tekken 6 online and that it's coming soon.

I haven't investigated to find the original post (maybe on NeoGaf) but I thought people might want to know...

 

If someone is mashing with the Capoeira fighters, I'll just stand back and counter whiffs or block and counter. Low parry to juggle, etc.

It helps to learn how to use other characters so you know their combos.

 

Played the game finally, not as good graphically as I'd hoped. I got kind of used to the non roided out character design of VF probably.

Maining, Eddy, Bruce, and Raven. Chances are I'll pick up Roger and Kuma as subs if I ever get around too it. Lucky for me I did have a Tekken head phase so it's not too hard to get into the gameplay.

I just don't like the gameplay much.
