I play Tekken 4 and Tag so I don't mind it. The thread was made with the intent to gauge opinions on why Tekken was lifting so obviously from VF recently when its already considered more popular in mainstream. I didn't get or appreciate that...but that's how business works these days, I guess.

Lol, what? I've done my research, I've played the game. I don't know where you're getting your info from, but its really that simple. I'll agree with you that its deeper than people who first pick up the game credit it for, but no more. I don't see the issue.

I'm not saying that I like Tekken over Virtua Fighter, but I like both. Virtua Fighter is tougher to get into, to me at least. Tekken 6 has made me a bit more interested in the series again.

Tekken 6 is one of the worst next-gen fighting games ever. TRUTH./forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif

You're persistent on your Tekken hate, are you?

But it's the truth. Many veteran Tekken players hate Tekken 6. OK, I'll shut up now./forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek.gif

You don't have to silence yourself. I'm comfortable with you for speaking your mind. However, many Tekken veterans? Is this claim from Tekken Zaibatsu?

Most Tekken vets have hated all Tekken's after TTT...

Maybe NGKrush is going to knock me on the head for saying this...

But from what I gather the Dutch T-scene is filled with a kind of wary complacency with a thin layer of expectation over it. I've heard the phrase 'they finally polished things up in T5DR before throwing it all out the window again' come around in various forms. There's anticipation there, but there's not the kind of faith there that we have in VF's creators. 'Tecmo knows what they're doing' is not a phrase I've ever come across. While 'AM2 knows what they're doing' is kinda VFDC's mantra.

I have to say though, smacking pigs and random civilians about seems to be cool as heck to me, even if it changes nothing to the gameplay. It's the kind of crazy detail you'd expect Tekken to have and its definately there.

Isn't Law supposed to be a Bruce Lee type knock off?

If Bruce could see what things have come to.

    I'm all for diversity but....

    come on Kungfu Panda /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif

    And what's up wit this:

Kangeroos? There's a lot of ways to add comic relief to a game
without reaching into the animal kingdom /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Although I guess some would like to see:

    Akira vs Kuma
    Kage vs Roger
    Shun vs Panda

Maybe snakes, dragons, tigers, bears, (kangeroos), and eagles as tattooes in VF. But that's about it. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
