    LOL!

I can't come up with a witty-enough response to that one.

Having a versus game use a license(like marvel) is all well and good, but from another fighting series from a different company;however, is a totally different thing. I think with CvS totally, well, sucking that this concept does not work.

They should just do a SF4 vs. Tekken. How about that? That blow you guys away. I should post that on shoryuken see what they say.

I don't see the point of a VF vs. Tekken. If they had to combine games, it would be for novelty purposes - meaning they would forego the depth of both Tekken and VF and go with some shallow button layout that includes all of their signature strikes and throws.

That said, the appeal of VF is the gameplay, not the characters, so it wouldn't mean much if the gameplay was stripped away. It's no wonder Namco pushed for the arrangement. It would make Tekken seem much more appealing than VF.

I suppose Marvel and DC are taken, but if they really wanted to do a Tekken crossover, there is plenty more popular IP to choose from (Tekken vs. SquareEnix? Tekken vs. Metal Gear? Tekken vs. Image comics?)

*Sighs* Here we go again if a versus of the two games does exist. I just hope it won't get locked the last time.[/size]

Glad you got the humor out of that.

    You don't see the point?

wtf? For starters... how about fun and enjoyment between two rival series.

All I can say is that if this game ever goes down, you can rest assured that it will be released in the US.

Which is more than you can say about any other VF.

Should be VF vs DOA... made by AM2 since so much of Team Ninja left with Itagaki...

Ironically, if that happened, it would be the best version of DoA ever. Ever.

I'd be up for it as long as AM2 handles everything.

Personally i've always thought the 2 button punches and kicks in Tekken a clumsy half assed transition from 2d fighter to 3d and would wholeheartedly support single punch, kick, guard buttons if this was ever to get made.

I can't see Sega caving into this idea though as SoJ would probably take this crossover as a "loss" and be too stubbern to take a massive risk like this.

That indeed would be something to look forward to. Both companies have a lot of experience, and I'm pretty sure they would get feedback from players from both sides and have updated versions until everyones satisfied. It would also be a great opportunity for VF to get a little more exposure than it currently has so why not ?

I hear ya. I only wish a lot of naysayers here would get that but some people are scared of change. Every iteration of VF they change things and some hate the changes and some end up leaving VF. It makes sense that some think that if a Tekken VS VF game is made that it will somehow change VF itself and maybe even kill it.
And/or maybe they assume that it will have some kind of ripple effect that will affect the VF scene in a negative way like maybe the few VF players that are left will switch to Tekken or something lol.

Just like you said, VF has nothing to lose and a lot to gain from a game like this being made.

Unless SEGA-AM end up looking like SNK in the aftermath of this ala CVS2. Post interest could bury VF if people don't fall in love/like with the original and just prefer the cross over.

Long term it could prove a really risky investment so there is need for caution, still back the concept though.

If they won't think about doing that then a megamix 2 would be just as awesome.

Tekken vs. vf or VF vs. Tekken (however you want to say it.) would be cool, but I would really like to see a GGX vs. Melty blood vs. BlazBlue since there all done by the same people and could happen.

I would like to fight people with the sega rally car again

Honestly, I think it'd be a good idea, as long as they gave the game VF's physics, Tekken's control scheme (as to not cut down their characters' movelists), VF's maneuverability, and Tekken-style stages. I think it'd be a good balance, myself- throw in more Sega properties for the VF side, and it'd be perfect.

I hate to play devil's advocate, but are you guys honestly still expecting that if a cross-over happens, it will "play like VF?"

The question that needs to be asked is: if the game uses a visually less serious system than what VF currently has, then adds a tag option (e.g. Akira's elbow will send you spiraling into a wall, he tags out, then Kuma rolls in and nails you with a sliding kick), would you still play it?
