I'll bring a couple - but chances are i'll be coming a bit later than everyone else as i'm gonna have to get some SC2 in before I head over - say about 5pm-ish. =/

hehe cool turnout at Shams today,I didn't think I'd go at first but I changed my mind due to a couple of reasons, lol.

Good matches, I think everyone played well today. BK and Opti grabbe dsome replays so hopefully we'll get to see them soon. Shame about not seeing Mo or the wall. I wanted to fight them, ah well.

had a good time tho.

 

I gotta say a big thank u to sham for hosting the gaterthing today ,good turn up and high level of play now all i gotta to do is wonder where the next even will be.

Firstly, thanx 2 Sham for being such a good host for the past 2 weeks and organising the chicken wings.

Gerald counted 15 kids in attendence this week; some relatively new faces with remainder all being regulars. Good, expansive play all round, with Jun & Ryan being the most impressive on the night.

yeah it was cool indeed. i played like shit itself and had alot of loses... but no matter it was all for the love man, all for the love, and that was really cool in that.....absolution in london now huh, when is that? and also,if anyone is holding a meeting or if anyone hears that Trocadero has got back to backs let a brother know to Archangel, cherish the victories, you played well, kept getting caught by the sweep, but good looking out ...bareknuckle and em, good matches, apart from Ryan destroying me yesterday i managed to provide some decent competition...to sham, jide, JB, optimus and stelwart, thanx for making the day a success....nuff said, V

 

Im now at about the standard I was when I stopped playing VF before, but improving is difficult and I can't play well against you lot who've been playing the series for a long time. This is a hard game to get into propely.

 

Shoju man, its about commitment, dedication and practice. Far from being a good player myself, i find my game is improving every time i play others and go 2 training sessions on my ps2,@ least I feel im getting better.

Master the tutorials/tactics and advice, apply it 2 your game the best u can, gradually u will get better. Train/play as much u can, devise your own tactics, observe others. use the resources on this site. From playin Ryan it seems that where all on the same boat, we all suck/need 2 improve, and we learn by loosing.

 

Well I kinda feel Im stuck at this level. I've been through most of the training modes but the AI makes me play too repetitively (It don't learn) and reacts too inhumanley in some ways. If I payed against people who aren't too far advanced of me and worked my way up that'd be good.

This is a REALLY tough game though, you need super fast reactions and to have a deep knowledge of all the characters to handle them.

 

aye 4 real, need to learn from losses an train up, i really need to train up my main people again, i think i'll give lau a try again, had enough of kage/jacky/akira.
but yea we should like rent out a place for like £50 or so. i could bring my tv set again, plus if some one gives me a hand i'll bring a chipped ps2/jap evo 2!

 

Yeah good play from everyone on sat, expect some uploaded matches later in the week.

Yeah Shoju the problem you have is you just need to play more human opponents, super fast reflexes do help specially when your half asllep but it's more bout anticipation reading your opponent, also watch some of the matches in the media section to pick up tips with your character. Just give it time it'll click soon, thats the problem when you play all these minor games that require no skill, ahem cough SC2 /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

i was running through some of which were captured yesterday and they were great, i have a cool close match between ryan (came as close as pat, but fluffed it), i also have our wolf match & other little sparrs from me, u and others. i'm not sure how i'm gonna give them to you now, any ideas?

hi, im new here, but been a hardcore fan of vf for ages. Are u guys gonna organize another gettogether, cuz id really like to test my skills out, probably get wasted, but its a lesson none the less. I live in kings cross in a uni hall. Where do u guys intend to hold it if u actually do go ahead with it?

haha oh well but don't fear guyz, I think we "might" have a games venue but I'm NOT! 100% sure about it. I gotta check it out with one of my class mates. My Uni class is gonna hold a Game Society like every month and do trny's. Me and Remi both do the same class (BSc) Computer games (yah we rock) so either me or him will have the details. Also I made a website for it. It's not public ready yet, this site will have the news too.

As for Shoju, From the last gathering we had, I had a few pointers from My.Hart himself. I told him that I read the guides to Goh and some other ppl. He said "screw the guides, they're crap, Learn from ur mistakes and play more human players"

I only read the guides for a couple of pointers and for combo's. But ya he's right there. Play more human players and u'll learn eventually and ur sixth sense on when to throw escape will get better /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif. Me, I can't TE to save my life as ppl would prolly guess by now, haha.

But yah, read "some" of the guides here on VFDC but not all of it, get to the combos and lil hints then add them to ur game play and u'll be fine. I still need improving but I've learnt a lil from watching Ryan play a "back to basics" Goh, lol. No offense there Ryan, ur still awesome /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif
