I will agree it was great time. Unfortunately it seemed that all the socal players took each other out....No worries though. Someone needs to get those matches up on the site so that we can show how good the Cali players are. Im sorry I wasn't able stay longer or meet everyone, but I was already feeling under the weather...so maybe i'll get to know everyone better next time. Again thanks again Bryan I had a great time. Till next time...out

Definitely. Bryan with a 'y'... thanks again.

It was really funny playing VF again. But it was nice to see it on the PS2 for the first time. Nice meeting everyone. I don't know most of the names except maybe spotlite's, FeixaQ's, tragic's, Chanchai's, ice-9....siLE (of course)... uhh yeah. =D

    Ok, later.

hey, yesterday was one of the greatest times i've had in LA...

It was definitely fun, I'm glad to see that everyone else enjoyed it too. Jeff, congrats to you for making it first. Bryan who's no slouch either, almost took the steam away from Jeff, awesome job man - you really rocked. and thanks for allowing us to gather at your place. Everyone (but maybe me) did a great job at the tourney and that's one thing that made yesterday awesome.

feixaq - thanks for setting up this entire thing; if it weren't for you, we'd probably all been pulling at each other's hair, breaking chairs on each other's backs to get the tourney together.

jhky - are you the one who barely plays vf4 but came a strong vf3 background? if so, you still had an awesome showing with Akira.

Tragic - you have an awesome Sarah. thanks for the combo exhibition vid(Myke, don't move this post to another board please. hehe j/k). You gotta tell me how to play "all funny" with her sometime.

Everyone else, it was nice meeting all of ya. I'll PM those who I can, and again it was a great learning experience. hope i can session with all you again.

    -Paul

Thanks to everyone who showed up for the VF4 gathering/tournament! Also, special thanks goes out to Bryan (Spotlite) for hosting the event... /versus/images/icons/smile.gif

Just got back from LA late last night, and am heading out to Napa/Sonoma in half an hour, so the full details of the tournament won't be available till I get back tomorrow night and type it out. But, here's the list of participants:

    and the summary results are:

    #1 Ice-9 (Jeff)
    #2 Spotlite (Bryan)
    #3 FeixaQ (Chris)

Congrats to Jeff for winning the tournament!

Tomorrow, I'll have the time to post the results of the preliminaries, and the double elimination bracket results...

Snuggles & I had a blast playing VF with the post-E3 crew. It was kewl meeting all of you. We both wish we could have stayed for the after hours for more VF fun, but we had some work and ZZZs to catch up on.

Bryan, thanx a bunch of dAZs for hosting us at ur vfhaus with the kickass TV @_@ Sorry Snuggles & I left without saying 3Q . . . we were really tired from the drive and starving. BTW, so will we see an Akira tattoo at . . . Evolution? Again, awesome Akira in the finals =)

Jeff, it was definitely fun playing your Pai. Didn't your mommy ever teach you to never trip a gurl? I didn't get a chance to play poke-a-thon with your goofy kage though siLE. Congratz on the VF win! Dude, your reward should be a solo-trip to Russia to enjoy the historical ruins, art, landscape, culture, and warm your freezin' VF booty with lots of vodka =)

Jhky, kam-sam-ni-da 4 letting me crash at ur place and feeding us with yummy Korean fudd 'n Roscoe's chicken & waffles *YUMMY 2 our tummies* =D Snuggles will remember a bib for bubble tea next time =b BTW, you still got your DLC! Just get your SPoD back siLE =)

Benny, glad you could make it siLE! You owe me a raincheck on kalbi in LA for kicking the living daylights out of me 'n Snuggles =) 3Q 4 takin' it EZ on us =)

Feixaq, er . . . you forgot to put Snuggles as a participant =( Snuggles is hurt *sniffles* But great job on the bracket template. As always, you're always prepared to compete and to keep score. So how long did it take you to get back? Let's hope less than 9 hours 'n the Kings win the series =) I hope you didn't watch the painful loss to clutch Horry @_@

Kirk, it was refreshing to hear the laid back warm 'n hospitable mentality of Atlanta. Let's hope neither of us has any twister stories to share at the next gathering =)

Eric, I must say you had a mighty mean and serious Akira. So where's the siLEside that jhk speaks of hehe? Hopefully, we'll see that side of you next time =)

David, thanks for the good game against Akira. I'll have to train hard when I get my TV to counter your shoulder rams, double palms, and what not! In the meantime, Snuggles will be hugging you to death as a distraction =)

Heidi, Snuggles liked the patpats and wanted to know when you'll bring Usagi so he can challenge somebody on his level of gameplay? =)

Andy, I wish I had a chance to play your Pai. You had some pretty cool dance moves to learn. Maybe I'll get a chance the next time I'm in LA =P I'm down south every month =)

Noah, we'll have to meet up with Mabel for dim sum or something. She's not too far from you and I'm in SF every week and Marin every now 'n then.

Nick, thanks for joining Snuggles & me on the roadtrip down south and being the navigator as well as the CD juggler.

Thread is now un-sticky and has returned to normal date for sorting.

In future, it's best to keep reports in the same thread as the event.

Me? I am no one. You see no one. I am not here! Yeah, I played some VF3. No, I haven't been playing VF4. And uh, thanks? But, seriously, it was funny to watch me. It's ok. You can admit it. I don't mind. Now, if I actually played this game a lot, I wouldn't find it so funny, but hey!

    siLE: Kings?? blah!
