Thanks for the vids. They're just awesome to watch. When ever I describe VF players to people - it's so much fun to cover the diversity "Yeah. We've got a tattoo artist, a geneticist, top salesman for Yahoo, BBoyers, graphic designers, game designers..." the list goes on. So awesome.

Flash, in the YouTube description for your vids, can you list the names in order of appearance? I want to be able to tell people "that's Flash, the kick-ass Wolf player" when I show them your labrats vids.

check it. judges say we lost! i was pissed. my boy Toeknee calls out the judge, Jester, and jester gets ROASTED!!! after 3 rounds of roasting, i was INTENTIONALLY talkin shit outload so jester would call me out. next thing you know, he does....and the roasting continues! hahaaha i got all of it on tape and him ADMITTING to the roasting! Second vid, second contestant, he sort of did Kage's intro move, don't know how to describe it, the move where he jumps to the back and then rolls again to the front? I always thought that flip-cancel wasn't humanly possible and dismissed it as a stylised ninja gimmick - my jaw dropped when i saw somebody do it /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shocked.gif

Well not knowing who is who, them people wearing them blue shirts lost pretty bad in my eyes. I respect for them even going out there and doing their thing ya know, but it was no contest.

IDk. I thought the other team seemed more solid top to bottom. Also i really like the shaggy haired guy's moves. It kinda seemed like maybe ur crew had the best players, but overall the other team was more solid.

Of course. I don't know the nuance of dance, and don't dance. So i really don't know WTF i'm talking about. lol. Pretty much the more ground a move covers, the better it looks to me. I don't know the technicals of the all the footsies.

 

if you dunno the dance, then you wouldn't know that what theyre doing is commercial stuff. the dude with the fro was good, but even he wasn't original at all. in fact, most of them lacked originality.

bboyin is like VF. you have to have a lot of experience to understand what's going on...

 

Being a non dancing, oversized lummox, I can't really comment on it either, though I do get the feeling that just because one person can do more flips and spins than someone else doesn't mean they're better than the other.

However, it does look more exciting and has more of a wow factor to it.

Also, maybe the judges feared the threat of Polonium in their drinks. Probably not, but it could have happened.

I almost didn't post my 1st post. But then i figured since u took the time to post it, then i'd take the time to respond. I kinda felt like if it is something your passionate about, i wanted to acknowledge it Keep up ur passions mans, respect.

 

LMAO!!! E thats a commom move to cover up a bad landings on backflips sometimes. Most of the time when you bust a summy(somersault) off the vert and you don't get enough speed on the flip you lean forward on land. In gymnastic you might see a full step on a front summy instead of a roll. Its a beautful sight.

On topic. Flash you my dude are the truth. you get a lil fiesty in the heat of battle though and show up opponents by D'bo-ing the floor walking away slow in shit. I be feeling you though cause you get into it. Big Ups and Nuff Respect!!!! *Whips out the Mpc500 and begins to construct a B-boy Breakbeat rhythm for Flash and crew.*

Yeh it's the flips and fancy stuff which appeals to me.

 

Lol, no I don't dance. And yea i'm sure I didn't fully understand what I saw, that's probably why I only notice them same big flashy acrobatic moves (that probly has been around since the 80's) as being that buisness, like that spinning on your shoulders or hands with your feet all up in the air and not noticing/paying much attention to the other techincal parts of the dancing unless it's some wierd ass bending ur body type stuff.

After you said something I do notice the difference a lil now, it's just something that I never really noticed and the big moves always jumped out at me more cause it's flashy and gymnasticy type stuff vs somebody doing some funky crawling on your hands n feet (I dunno what it's called lol) and end up having your belt off when you get back up or somethin in that nature.

Don't mind me, i'm just another lost soul caught up in the flips and spins. Must be bogus to go to events like that and lose to different people doing the same moves all the time.
