Catch, do you have the PC version of the Virtua Stick? I got one at the Fanimecon swap meet last year. It's not in the best condition but it shouldn't be too hard for the BF and I to clean up and repair.

Anyhow, a matching set of these was acquired for us at TGS (about the only good TGS merch this year):

Awesome shirt. If Sega of America were smart, they could make a pretty penny selling shirts designed tastefully like that.

Yeah, I saw a PC Virtua Stick not long ago on Yahoo Japan Auctions. I also didn't know there was a PS2 version.

Sad really, as I rarely play my games now, I'm just collecting stuff. LOL.

Used Rinkya at www.rinkya.co.jp on Yahoo Japan Auctions for this set... Sega Magazine. Lots of VF related covers. Saw these mags long ago in Sega Saturn Magazine. Always wanted these and jumped at the chance.

I need to Play Shinobi but I do have Nightshade (NTSC version of Kunoichi). I've kinda gotten into the habit of getting games that are fun, but my time is rather limited and I don't go back for a while if at all (yet).

[IMG] Needed a new phone and I've never been an iPhone guy. Figured I'd give it a try (via StraightTalk even thought it's an AT&T phone).

EDIT: I'm a sucker for docks so it'll be coming in the mail soon.

The stick of my dreams have arrived. Yes, if you can afford just one stick, make it this... the Sega Virtua Stick Pro (HSS-0130)... straight from Nippon.

For those who don't know, these are genuine Seimitsu Astro city parts (panel, joysticks, pushbuttons).

Complete paperwork is the certificate of authenticity and the stick's birthdate or inspection date; Fighting Vipers, VF2, and VF Kids instruction inserts, registration card, and manual.

Exact proportions to the chopped Blast City/Astro City panel I have it pictured next to here. The photo makes the HSS-0130 look a bit bigger, but its due to the perspective of where I was standing over it. The plastics used for the actual arcade panel feels tougher (naturally). Saying that, the HSS-0130 feels more sturdy than todays RAP V3 sticks. One other difference is the arcade panel uses actual glass for the insert holder, compared to plexi for the HSS-0130.

So you pretty much have an arcade stick in the Sega City Cab style, panels and all.

Got a couple of classic 3DO games in the mail. I'll upload a picture soon. I got Po'ed and Way of the Warrior.

    I got candy, yay.

BTW for what platform is that Virtua Stick Pro for? I see the typical PC game controller connectors wrapped up there, so it doesn't go to any console, right?

It was originally for the Sega Saturn ^_^

Yep, it is still stock, for Saturn, and it'll be stock for as long as I have it... Which will be my lifetime. :) Fucked upped thing about all this is that most of these will be just decoration for the house... Which is not yet complete. I'll hang some candy panels on a wall or something, and keep the other as my full-time stick. The other sticks will just fill a wall of shelving, or I'll have build a custom case.

Ever since I discovered the treasures of Yahoo Japan, and shit, just last night, I see amazon Japan has hori sanwa/seimitsu special editions, I might just need to finalize my collection.

Guys, seriously, lets see what you guys are getting. Join in on this thread, even if its just "minor" stuff. I love reading how one finds these stuff.

my buddy has that stick and I'm about to change the buttons in it for him soon, maybe there are multiple models or something but I'm pretty sure the buttons are sega and not seimitsu and unfortunately soldered to a pcb :(.

Then that wouldn't be a real version. I know they had knock offs called Blaze, but they didn't have the astro city panel.

All real Hss-0130 have the exact Seimitsu arcade panel along with Seimitsu sticks and buttons. That is the attraction of the stick, everything was based off of the arcade. Btw, Sanwa also makes city panels that look identical to the Seimitsu.

oh haha I had a blaze stick back in the day... shitty thing.. but no his stick is that exact model(whole astro panel), so perhaps he is mistaken, but they didn't feel like seimitsu buttons to me so I took his word for it :)

Perhaps them being several years old and heavily used had something to do with that feeling different. it still will be fun to peep the guts of that thing when we do replace the old buttons soon :)

I did take off the bottom panel, and the buttons are hidden by another plastic panel. I could only make out the distinctive Seimitsu gates. To get to the sticks and buttons , you'll need to remove the panel's 6 bolts/nuts with a socket and extension.

I hate how so many sticks are like that :( the balltop on one of my hrap's is loose and I am too damn lazy to take the whole thing apart just to tighten it a little bit.

Drill a small hole through the bottom panel right under the shaft? :)

Dude, I just took the panel off the HSS-0130, and you're right! The buttons are not Seimitsu and they do have that unneeded pcb soldered to them. Most of them don't even have an IC on them. Fuck, I really want to buy another one now to modify.

One other thing that sucks is the bolt heads on the panels always rust.

haha that's a good idea actually

sorry dood I didn't wanna be right on that one, but you know, the buttons are still quite good, even if you planned on using it I don't think modding would be needed really. I am just changing the ones in my friends stick because they are old and used as hell.
