Rampage is not ducking anybody. Please. Make some room on Lyoto's nuts

Ducking would be a strong word to use, but Rampage definitely does not want Lyoto to be his next opponent. Honestly, it is probably a good idea to take a tune-up/make-sure-his-jaw-is-ok fight against Evans before he fights Machida. An even better idea for Ramage IMO, since IMO he is not the strongest fighter mentally. Judging by the level of apprehension he displayed before the 3rd Wanderlei fight. And Rampage does not match up well against Machida. I don't see a single area where Rampage is superior to him, with the exception of wrestling. But Machida's wrestling defense is better than rampage's o-fence.

LaCheetah would run, not away from rampage, but over him!

Rampage is skipping Machida to coach against Evans in the next Ultimate Fighter. I can't wait for that fight "It's going be some black on black crime!" /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Damn and I thought they were on to a good thing with the country vs country idea/trend, Brazil vs Canada would have been good /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif
Oh well guess it's reality T.V, drama over the actual fighting

Not in a cowardly sense, I think he knows he can't beat Machida right now. HE even said he wants to sharpen his skills and bring his wrestling/slams back. He also said he wants to be more rounded like GSP. All evidence points to Page avoiding the fight for the time being.

No one can logically explain to me why he would chose to go out of his way to coach TUF and fight the loser. Makes no sense, especially when you look at all the trash Page has said about Lyoto. Page even said he never wants to coach TUF/take so much time off ever again. I think he knows right now he can't beat Lyoto with his current way of fighting as of late. He can use TUF to train, sharpen his game, and get a warm up fight with Rashad before facing Lyoto.

He is not ducking Lyoto in a cowardly way, he is avoiding Lyoto for obvious reasons and I can't blame him. Sean Thompkins(sp?) of extreme Couture even said that he commends PAge/Pages manager for avoiding the Machida fight right now, he needs more time to prepare for Lyoto.

EDIT: Besides we get an even BETTER fight in the mean time with Shogun/Dragon. Shogun has a far better chance and is a much more complete fighter then Page is (Shogun can actually kick!). Stylistically I think Shogun/Vera have the best chances against Lyoto.

As funny as it is, I could see Page being Lyoto in the clinch.

The Faber/Brown fight was awesome, despite/because of the screwed up hands.

That one guy who hit the flying triangle was awesome too. You just KNOW he was thinking "Sonofabitch, I gotta win the Submission of the Night Check!"

Now, what happens to Faber? Does he drop to 135 to take on Torres? Does he go to another org? He COULD beat Brown, but is 0-2 and I don't think he wants to be a gate keeper to the belt.
    Oh yeah, TIGER KNEE!!!

In Japanese MMA news, anybody else catch the super hulk tourney? So bad about Jacare/Miller 2. I really want to know what they said to each other.

I think I heard one of the commentators say he was a BJJ white belt? If so kudos! [IMG]

I say Faber vs Brown 3 and then see what happens after.

Yeah Minowa's win was sick lol, gotta learn me some leg locks!
Miller's a crazy sob, part 3 is sure to come.. :>
Choi vs Canseco, LOFL only in Japan

Franklin fought a VERY smart fight. Peppered him with shots from the outside and landed many clean punches and body/one arm blocked head kicks too. Wand looked noticeably fatigued (very uncommon for Wand) near the end of the first. He still fought a gutsy fight and it could have realistically been scored in favor of "The Axe Murderer" but in the end Rich fought a better fight and it went the way of Ace.

I am not sure 185 is the best move for Wand, he looked slower and gassed. He did fight a more well rounded fight for once, scored a leg catch takedown and pulled guard for a guillotine. There are many fighters that could easily make 185 but opt to stay at 205. Look at Machida and Rashad. Two small LHW's who are tearing it up at 205. Maybe I am jumping the gun and Wand's next run at 195/185 will be a more fruitful one.

Anyways props to Rich, I honestly had him slightly winning his fight with Dan. If he can win another big fight at LHW I would not mind at all seeing him face the champ. He is still improving and does not seem to be slowing down in the least.

    Thoughts? </div></div></div>
