Sapp is 100% crap. He is not now, nor has he ever been, a legitimate fighter.

Lashley is still largely untested, but he's with a good camp and seems to be taking a respectable road to build himself up to be a legitimate fighter.

 

Still, Bob Sapp vs Ernesto Hoost was one of the most exciting kick-boxing/MMA fights I've ever seen!!! It was so crazy I almost had a panic attack watching it!

Bob Sapp levitated Hoost with a punch like I've never seen! I'm not saying it was the most technically skilled match I've ever seen but it sure was exciting and intense none the less...

Sapp reminds me of the "heel" character in Pro Wrestling. How he just runs out of the corner and is totally gassed out after 10 seconds! It's just priceless stuff.

 

Also on that card was this corker of a ko:

For his health Rizzo needs to retire, dude's a warrior but that's 2 brutal ko's in as many fights.

That Ref is an asshole. who sits and watches 5 blows land on a fallen opponent who's arms aren't even lifting off of the floor? what a douche.

I was yelling at my laptop and then felt a little gratified when I heard the commentators talk about it - although they didn't feel the same passion I did.

Interesting to think how this sport has grown, watching ufc 1 on a copied vhs tape never thought it would get as big as it has, who knows has more it can grow?....

Are you kidding ? "one of the most exciting kickboxing match youve ever seen" Dude c'mon. all sapp did was out muscle ernesto hoost(one of the best ever) into corners and have his way with him.Even Hoost was shaking his head at the shenanigans. Hoost had way more "exciting fights" then that in his career against non-freakshows. Sapp tryed to do the same thing to Cro Cop and got his orbital broken (by a punch) for his troubles.

0:34 = exactly right. That fight was awful.

 

Hopefully Dan remembers how to do more than throw right hands.

 

I really like this match up, could be a very fun fight. although I really like Dan I think Bisping can take this.

GSP all the way. I think Alves is strong but I'm not sure he is the answer to GSP that people think he is.

Mir versus Lesnar. Please, Mir...Please please please please somehow avoid those flour bags Lesnar calls hands and submit that guy. Again. I will be forever be in your debt.

 

I don't see how Mir is gunna deal with Lesnars wrestling and power punches.

 

it's the punches that are the biggest threat.

 

GSP, Bisping, & Lesnar FTW.

 

It was also funny how Lesnar let Mir get back up in the beginning of the second round as if he could bang with Mir
He learned real quick that he's better off sticking to his bread and butter and using his weight and strength to keep his opponent down and ground&pound.

GSP and those lowkick parries into takedowns had me smiling for most of his fight. Sometimes I wonder if he's even human.

Ok, so I was pretty spot on with my predictions - at least who would win.
GSP - superman punches with both jabs and crosses into combos. Did they pull him out of Tekken or some shit? Seriously?! The way he was all over Thiago (sp?) was crazy. Perfect fight. The only real damage he ate was in round 4 when he got reversed for all of 35 seconds before he got back up.

Dan: America. Fuck yeah. hahaahahah. He brought back the people's elbow.

Brock: Hate me all you want, but I had called this all the way and actually rooted for him. His post fight interview was a riot. "I'm going home and drinking a COORS light, a COORS light, because Budwiser won't pay me anything....then going home and having a sex romp with my wife." I was dying.

I was glad that Akiyama was given the split decision, but how that last judge saw it at 27-30 was beyond me.

Fitch did what Fitch does and won in a grinding way.
