Anderson Silva is a beast! Un-fucking-stoppable. Who in this man's weight class can beat him? Who??? First round Henderson got him but the second round, it's like Silva went to level 2 or something.
This fight he proved why the call him The Spider.

Dude, you're not the only one that thought that Henderson was going to win too. Specially after that first round, he dominated Silva. I was cringing watching Henderson deliver all of those hammer fists to Silva's temple, I thought "damn, Silva is going to lose and he's going to leave the ring disabled like Ali".
I dont think too many people knew that Anderson Silva had yet another level of intensity like that. I guess he feels that if he can beat guys while he's cool and relaxed, why not? But when he came out in that second round, whoa, holy shit is right, lol.

 

props to Silva, he is definitely looking to be one of the greats.
His body triangle control is off the hook!

I'm kind curious to see how the fight would have turned out under different rules, 5 , 5 minutes rounds I have nothing against, but to be critical I'm not sure if this favors certain styles over others?
I think some time in the future MMA rules need to be critically looked at, eg: knee's to the head in the Herring fight.

 

I would love to see a merger of PRide and UFC rules.

Yeah, that was the highlight of Chonan's career. While he hasn't gone completely downhill, he's definitely struggled against quality opposition. I'm too lazy to look it up, so I'm unsure if he signed a multi-fight deal with the ufc. I was hoping he'd beat Karo, but it wasn't meant to be.

The latest news is that Fedor is a FA. Also, Randy said he'd come back to the ufc to fight Fedor. Aww yeah . . . as much as I hate Dana, I hope he makes it happen.

 

Doesn't matter to me where it happens, so long as Randy vs Fedor happens. UFC, HDnet, makes no difference.

Biggest question I have at the moment is:

If Silva can dominate Dan Henderson more convincingly than Rampage, considering Dan Hendersons weight never fluctuates to any great degree, wtf would Silva do at LHW?

I mean, great sportsmen are defined by their competition as much as their titles, and I don't see the point of him continuing to knock cans into touch just for the statistics?

Guys...I just got back from the fight (YES! I was actually there!!! Fucking AAA seats too!).

Holy fuck...soooooo good. Way too tired and half drunk right now to write anymore (work in the morning? WTF? WHY?!?!?!?). I'll be sure to post about it tomorrow though. Less about the fights themselves on the main card since you guys saw them yourselves, but I'll discuss the atmosphere and the under-card fights, which were amazing BTW, no idea why the UFC doesn't show more of them on pay-per-view (time constraints? fuck that...MAKE THE TIME!); Kalib's fight sucked balls in comparison. What a fucking mood killer. Good for a laugh though. Otherwise it was the only bad fight tonight.

So awesome. Definitely recommend you guys go to an event if you ever get the chance, especially if it's a fight(s) you're excited for!
