also, Chael admitted to the tap. Josh is just saying that the waver plus one tap isn't definitive and open to problems with reffing, NOT that Chael didn't tap.

 

Tap was legit, Dana agrees, Chael agrees, end of story.

 

I agree, that was so certainly a tap there's no doubt. Him trying to say he didn't tap was just some sore loser shit. He tried to pull a fast one but it was too obvious that he tapped to pull it off.

He was in a submission hold, he readied his hand for a tap (like he was feeling the pain) and then he clearly tapped out.

There's no question that he tapped.

 

Vitor Belfort is gonna KO Silva if that same Anderson shows up.

 

I'm glad Chael admits to tapping cause I personaly thought the ref stopped the fight pretty damn fast, and the fact he only tapped once which could have been him trying to grab for something, contemplating to tap out or not, or whatever. I personaly don't think the tap Chael made was enough to stop the fight. But if Chael says "Yea I tapped" then hey, it's done.

But I can understand if a dude is at his limit with an armbar, you/the ref needs to stop it or shit is gonna snap vs a choke.

 

This isn't the first time that Chael has done that. He's tapped and then argued that he didn't at least twice before his fight with Silva. I gotta give it to him though, he manned up and admitted to tapping which he clearly did. And I do gotta give him his props on manhandling Silva the way he did.
That was an epic beatdown.

Social, I think that even though the ground punches were more powerful than the standing punches, the punches that wobbled him while he was standing caught him by surprise. Silva's used to bobbing and weaving punches and even kicks but I think that due to his rib injury that limited a lot of his waist movement.
Silva was definitely not fighting like his usual self.
Maybe it wasn't even about his ribs, maybe Silva's just getting old and losing his speed.
I don't think we will know for sure until his next fight.

 

With Paulo Filo he didn't tap, but his arm got saved by the ref.
