anyone see Fight Night? Palhares gave away the fight by lying on his back and thinking the fight was over because Nate was slippery. that was hilarious.

that was hilarious. him accusing Nate of greasing because he looked like a putz is just lowbrow. it is possible for someone to be slippery for another reason besides greasing...it's called sweat. the body produces it naturally while it's being exhurted physically. what a moron. Nate even said that he purposely got a good sweat going before the fight so he was more slick to avoid getting caught early like many have against Palhares. i'm a fan of Nate's and hope he doesn't get his rep trudged around because of Palhare's lame accusations because he was dumb and took his eye off his opponent to complain about something that wasn't an issue. what a tool.

Palhares and Palhares' camp came out and apologized almost immediately after.

    Still funny as hell.

Kockcheck trying to choke slam some dude. I wish Chael Sonnen would drop down in weight class just to kick this guy's ass.

^Haha, I like Chael and all, he's funny and he seems to have a great work ethic... but if it's fueled by steroids then it takes away a lot of respect from his last performance. That should curb a bit of the smack talk too, which I did like... but now it's kinda void.

I'm hyped about TUF this season. All drama aside, a lot of those guys can fight really well. I see most of those guys making a name for themselves even if they don't get into UFC.

There's three guys whom I have my eyes on to become beasts if they can survive. Marc Stevens from NY; Nam Pham from Cali and Alex "Bruce Leroy" from Florida.

    Here's Nam Pham

Gotta love the killer instinct he showed in some of those fights. I really hope he brings all that to TUF.

Here's Alex "Bruce Leroy" Caceres in a backyard brawl

There's a guy who won by guillotine choke (GSP predicted it), he looks great also and there's this Native American guy with a red mohawk who could be really good if he steps his defense up.

    nice!
I also find sonnen's test results hilarious.
You talk all that smack and still lose to an injured person WHILE your on performance enhancers? thats just.. sad lol

expected though since the guy knows 0 jujitsu, but his only game is to take people down. Such a bad strategy

I love America... but god I hate the American crowds at MMA fights.
These guys are so fast and there was so much going but it still wasn't enough for them. Makes me miss Pride and the respectful and knowledgeable Japanese crowds.

Maaaan, Jose Aldo is such a BEAST!

Jose Aldo is scary. We have yet to see him even use his jiu jitsu.

would be interesting to see how he would fair against GSP or BJ.

  17. Shadowdean

BJ, at this point, would be a worse beating then Edgar put on Penn. GSP, maybe in 3-4 years so he can bulk up.

Bj is still an amazing fighter its just that sometimes certain fighters have the blueprint needed to beat others. For example when Tyson lost to Buster Douglas although i suppose that was a one off i don't think Douglass would of won a rematch but Edgar just has that specific style that happens to cancel out BJ's. I think BJ would be a good test for Aldo.

A BJ Penn that actually trains hard and wants to win would be an amazing fighter. but that's not the Penn we currently get to see.

I think he's lost his confidence and a fighter without confidence is almost as bad as a fighter without courage.
