Yeah, but I think everyone can agree that "Team Alpha Male" has to be the worst team name for any team, in any sport, in the entire world. Maybe of all history.

Does anyone know how these fighters feel about this? Is seagal respected enough in these cultures/circles that machida/silva appreciate and take to heart his opinions?

anyone looking forward to UFC123? I'm just interested in the lauzon fight. Looking for another strong fight and finish for Joe. I really don't know who I'd be rooting for out of Rampage or Machida. maybe a double KO?

I'm a Rampage fan but stylistically Machida poses a problem for Rampage. Plus Rampage has slowed down a lot and Machida should be the faster fighter that night. Machida has knockout power too so it's an uphill battle for Rampage but I'm still rooting for my special boy XD

In the Penn VS Hughes fight I'm looking to see Penn get his swagger back. I used to not like Hughes a lot but now I have less dislike for him. Still don't like him though. Not sure why but it's prob cuz he reminds me of some douchebags I used to work with/for.

^I know it's dead wrong and I don't condone that kind of unprofessional behavior but it was kinda cool to see the dude that was talking shit at the start of the match be laid out and tearing up later.
Again, I know he prob suffered some really bad damage and that was wrong but sometimes seeing dudes like that get laid out is sinfully satisfying.

 

haha, what gave it away?! I'd favour rampage just to see Machida get worked over but he really has a hard time putting in the time for training. maybe now that his movie career isn't so golden he'll buckle down.

Hughes and Penn is a tough call for me. I think Penn is just an extremely talented but sorta lazy guy. he lives upstairs and believes everything his hype machine tells him. Hughes on the other hand should really be thinking about farming. I say Hughes wins.

Gotta love Rampage, even his interviews aren't boring. He's right about his last fight being kinda boring though.

I know Rashad makes a lot of valid points and I agree to a certain extent but I'm all about the exciting fighters. Yeah you trained and you got skills and you should use them but if everybody fought the way that fighters from the Jackson camp fight, I would not be as big of a fan of the sport as I am.
All that technical stuff is great and all but I like to see fighters who got skills AND finish fights. Lay and pray is lame

One of the best weigh-ins I've seen in a while. Penn and Hughes staredown was too cool.

I don't know many fighters from Jackson's camp that actually "Lay and Pray". guys that want to give an exciting fight by being active and looking to finish are great. guys that give an "exciting" fight by getting turned into hamburger because they are too stupid to work on a strategy that maximizes their skills in the ring make me sick.

 

Alright, I KNOW everybody is watching this right now, right?

GE, it's like your boy Joe Lauzon said about George Stodupolous... or whatever, Joe said "He fights safe, I don't. I finish fights."

That's all I want man from fighters. They don't have to go out there and go crazy but certain fighters have a knack for allowing fights to go to the judges. That's why I love/miss Pride, if you stalled then money taken from your purse.

Btw your boy J-Lau's going to fuck this guy up.

Edited Edit: BJ's back! I watched both of their previous fights and it looked to me that the only reason why Hughes won their second fight is cause Penn gassed. Looking forward to seeing Penn go all the way and regain his title.

Rampage coming out the Pride FC theme was epic... the fight, not so much. But fuck if Rampage wasn't trying. I think it's safe to say that the only dude that has Machida figured out is Shogun. Rampage got lucky tonight that the decision went his way but if they do rematch he's going to have to be willing to trade with Machida in order to connect.

Obviously Aldo would win but it would still be a kickass fight.

 

Machida versus Rampage. The only reason there was a fight at all was because Rampage was in the ring. Too bad he couldn't close the distance fast enough.

On the other hand i really disagree w/ ur take on rampage being the only reason it was a fight. In the 1st round rampage hardly threw a punch in the 1st 3 minutes.

Also, rampage is a little responsible in the sense that he let rashad evans dominate him by keeping space and being quicker than him. You have to know that other fighters will try the same strategy, especially if it is something they (machida) already strive to do in fights. IMO
