YYYYEEEEESSSS!!! Fucking rawesome!! Holy shite man, Silva got ME hyped to fight!! Gotta love both these fighters... don't know what the fuck was up with that crowd. They came to see a show and they got one. Anderson looked like Russel Crowe in Gladiator up there.

    "Are you not entertained?!" [IMG]

SPANIARD! SPANIARD! Umm, I mean SILVA! SILVA! [IMG]

    P.S.
I reeeally hope that the Jabberwockee mask wasn't a sign of what's to come tomorrow night [IMG]

@GE, I know what you mean man, you never know for sure which Anderson Silva is going to show up come fight night.
Here's hoping it's not Dancing Spider cuz Belfort is going to shut that down quick!

Bas Rutten dropping knowledge about UFC 126, Brock Lesnar and learning how to deal with strikes.

Last night's staredown was even better than the one Anderson Silva had with Lee Murray

    Free Lee Murray! [IMG]

I was so glad I had the fights spoiled for me so I could walk in and watch the main event with no illusions. I was very much hoping for a win by Vitor but no go.

I liked how Vitor started the round and I was happy with the preliminary exchanges. The kick was nice but, honestly, seems a little flukey; I've seen it so many times and seen it hit so many times without the same finish.

really splendid use of that kick - fuck segal though.

Jon Jones...dude is a beast. Loved, loved that stand to back straddle.

Not as flukey (new word?) as you may think my virtua fighting friend:

This happened in October of last year. Dude's wearing black and yellow shorts too [IMG]
Lmfao @Segal talking like he invented that kick.

a sample of two isn't enough, in my opinion.

here: have a gif of the same guy using the same kick with the effect most commonly seen. The people going off on this kick like it is a gamechanger are...interesting...

that said, it was nice to see a solid kick make a solid connection.

What do you mean by game changer?

Yeah, a bunch of people texted me right after the KO and I was like yeah...we gave Anderson that move in the video game years ago, because you know, he does it a lot.

It just so happens that this time it connected in a very explosive way.

I wanted Bader to win. After I saw that fight, I'm glad he lost. Jones is just that much better. If Bader had found an opening to K.O. Jones, I'd still consider it a win, because, well, K.O. = win. It just would not have been as cool as what actually happened. Not sure how else to describe my thoughts.

Looking forward to Rua vs. Jones.

I'm actually nervous for Jones with this one. Regardless of the outcome though, it's still a win/win situation for Jones. Even if he loses he gets experience against a legend. I'm sure that Rua isn't worried. He's faced talented wrestlers before but he better not underestimate Jones, he's a lot faster and more unpredictable than any of the wrestlers he's faced before.

I don't want to jump the gun, in the comparison, but after watching both fight the other night,Jones might be a up and coming Anderson Silva. He had such a calm composed expression and approach during his fight with Bader. At times it looked effortless. In a lot of Silva's fights just has that composed style and he makes something hard look easy.

Some cats put on the mean , wrecking face, and they have that ferocious style and they blitz as soon as the as the ref says go. but some fighters, Silva, GSP, man they're calm, composed, and just get the job done. I think Jones is gonna be one of the champs where you never see it comin.

The retards are calling it the "segal kick" now. the fact that Anderson says he credits segal for *teaching* him a move weight belts learn in krotty is staggering.

anyway, I wanted to cleanse my pallet with some actual exciting moves that went down last saturday.

did no one else freak out when Jones leapt to take bader's back?

this was beautiful. I was rooting for Ellenberger so this moment gave me some pause but the win was pulled out despite an obviously eye-crippled judge.
