Yeah I remember seeing some promo vids a month ago, but I never knew when it was coming out. It reminds me of a spin off of Soul Calibur though. Sega should merge with a better company though, like SNK did (kinda)... That or the company should die and rise anew with a way better marketing department, and a more open company altogether.

Bayonetta got a lot of publicity. That's a quality game too unlike some of the trash they actually bother to market.

That's exactly my basic point Shoju. Bayonetta was a (somewhat) risky game and formula for them to make, because it was strange and not necessarily the type of game that's going to be hit every time. However, they took a risk and it paid off. You HAVE TO take risks to break out of the shitty, generic mold.

Maybe releasing the latest VF is a risk for them (somehow, I don't see it), but it's a risk they NEED to take at this point. Trying to pawn off absolute (safe) shit like Daisy Fuentes Pilates and random Sonic this or Sonic that isn't going to get them anywhere with me (or most of us I imagine), not even 5 fuckin feet.

They need to step up to plate and sink some real time and care into a VF5:FS console release. The console version needs ALL the bells and whistles like an EVO style training mode that teaches player how to play, all items, all character intros and solid online gameplay. Otherwise they have NOTHING to offer gamers like me.

If the did VF5:FS the "right" way, I really do think they could reach those platinum sales that their competitors have easily attained with LESSER games! That's some low-hanging fruit right there, grab it SEGA!!! Please.

Maybe because it will be Wii exclusive.

    Thoughts on this?

Over here at our equivalent of Evo Namco, Capcom and even Ark System have had a presence and given away freebies. SF4 arcade cabinets were provided at events before the game reached console, Tekken 6 beta copies were made available at an event prior to console release and Namco sponsored a tournament there. I know capcom and Namco have done something similar in America.

Sega on the hand aren't even doing location tests for FS outside of Tokyo according to the front page.
