My take on Eileen's throw game.

Her throws aren't all that great except her 6P+G,6 position switch since that can lead to RO, Huge dmg on walls, and a guaranteed post throw set up.

Her problem is the lack of other directions that have as much utility. Her other throws feel more like they're there so you can get the 6 direction throw off.

I THINK she gets a new throw in R that's a 3 direction but is actually dmging like her 4 direction throw.

Eileen's throws aren't really her strong suit so I do agree she belongs in the bottom of that list. They're more like a tool to get your opponent to feel some pressure even if they are TEing them.

No leet skills are required, Sarah simply needs to hold back to back away from a thrown opponent to avoid any rising attack. I believe she has the fastest "walking" speed (hold forward or back) in the game.

The only exception I know of is vs. Wolf or Jeff after Sweet Pain 270f+P+G.

I think Eileen has much better throw game then Brad. Brad's best throw does 45 dmg. Eileen at least HAS one high dmg throw (55), and good enough secondary throws. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif is IMO quite all right since she stands so close and backturned after the stagger she can do instant 0 frame throws.

oh I'd herd that 3P+G was open from Srider but I could be wrong. I've never actually had a problem using it before, but he said it's supposedly mad unsafe.

I think she has to turn around first though, but I have used the HCB throw a lot after /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif. Regardless, she has only 3 damaging throw direections, Im inclined to put her at the bottom. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif has no guaranteed followups.

Lei should be moved to A. Ive been well aware of the damage he can do.

After 61P+G?(because that by far is the most bang for the buck)

Have you tested this?(open and closed?)

And I'm not talking about giving up the down attacks.

And nah, Vanessa has the fastest walking speed(especially walking backwards), and I think Jacky's and Eileen's also.

I'd put him in S if it wasn't for his limited amount of throw directions.

Kage, Sarah, Eileen and Jacky had fastest backwalk when I tested it (order between 2-4 might be a little different, can't remember), then Vanessa.

We're talking very minimal differences though, micro level.

However, I don't think Sarah can escape a rising attack attemptafter /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif: throw with backwalking, but it's also pretty much the only throw she can't do anything to avoid and punish rising attacks when I tested.

The amount is hardly limited...He has just as many as Vanessa/Wolf/most of the cast.

What, I thought Jacky, Eileen, and Vanessa had faster walking speeds than Sarah by decent amount? Also there's a "hitbox" type thing too, which I think might be weight dependent with the characters bodies being more forward or away. Seems like stuff can "catch" you or make contact when the same situation would whiff for another character.

Another way for Sarah to backoff is to use BT then crouchdash away, she turns around and creates a big gap.

EDIT for your(Jeneric's) EDIT: After the 61P+G throw, Sarah can use stepping movements to get out, or use BT.

Which as I said wasn't the case back when I tested it 2 years ago.

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body"> After the 61P+G throw, Sarah can use stepping movements to get out, or use BT. </div></div>If you say so.

Then that would mean she has no throws you actually have to use where you can't do anything about a rising kick attempt, so how did this even get brought up /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/confused.gif

    Goodness man. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

    Not everyone can step.

And the whole issue is that the opponent gets up kind of quick and she's too close, so there's obviously more scenarios where she won't be able to get out but other characters can with their throws. Under normal circumstances, by the time you actually manage to get out, you can't "fully" capitalize as much as you think you could or should.

/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif does do 25 damage (for reference, Brad's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif does 30). I thought it goes without say that she has to turn around, but it can be done fairly quickly and as mentioned she won't get a grab motion. She also has a fast mid that staggers crouchers from BT.

*shrugs* If it can be done it can be done. And this only goes for one of her throws, all others you have a way out of, a few you're even in a position to evade rising kicks and launch.

I'm curious to what way you use to get to BT to get out in time.

Have you considered blocking the rising kicks?

Thus reducing the damage or effectiveness on her throw game dramatically.

With BT you want to do a fast move that turns her back then crouchdash forward once and she twists around creating a gap widening the distance.

Nope. I just allow my opponent to kick Sarah in the throat and/or titties. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif

    This is largely offtopic.

What matters is what moves she can try crushing opponents rising attacks due to throw recovery. If you want to avoid opponent rising kicks from point blank range, just jump over. Sarah has better recovery after her throws than several characters imo.

Because you just took her 2nd strongest throw out of the equation(of positioning). Her best and 3rd best throws(in damage), are 6 escape.

This entire time the only thing I was doing, was comparing Sarah's throw game with Jacky's, in why I think Jacky's throw game is slightly better in vanilla.

You acted like it was the case with her entire throw game, when it turns out only one of her four directions this is the case. And you said it reduces damage somehow, I wondered why.

And remember she also has one of the best catch throws in the game, Jacky doesn't.
