Top 10 current VF players outside of Japan

I mostly agree with that list, RORY should be moved up a notch though. He is (or at least was) miles above most other players in the A- list.

That list is VF5 centric. There are plenty of EU VF players not on that list that deserve mention from the VF4 era that I can recall.

I would have included BK, geewaiho and a good few others but the list has probably mostly been comprised of people that Marly and Seidon get to play online.

I don't agree with some of the placements. From experience of playing them, I believe in the A- section it is disrespectful to say Boris is above Settra.... and you Seidon! Also in the B section, there's no way Darth is in last place, you may not believe me but I hope he proves everyone wrong in the up-coming Hypespotting 2012 tournament, hype!!

 

Yeah i'd switch a few around, you have to consider this was just based on Marly's and Seidon's personal experience though. For example, personally I feel i'm on par with and can have decent games with anyone in the A- tier apart from Rory and Marly, they're the only ones that I feel might outplay me... Marly just cause he uses broken characters

It might not be the same for Seidon or Marly though, it could be the case that while I have no trouble with Boris, Seidon or Marly might have more trouble against him than they do with me.

Not saying i have no trouble with Boris, or that Marly and Seidon do. Just an example

Also, about Darth being last. Marly said they're not ranked in order, just randomly listed in each tier. I'd probably move Darth and Blossy up a tier if i did such a list.

I don't agree with it, but I'm guessing that's mostly the point, so I'll only say one thing: even though I haven't played him in ages, STPRock should be on that list (Ad4m on xbl), probably S or S+. If you're gonna base it off of tourney results, he should definitely be up there

I completely agree with Krye's statement about STPRock/Ad4m. I do understand that this list is probably created based on personal offline tournament results, but from having played STPRock at WCG2008 and even online I can assure everyone that he belongs on the S+ tile. Although he main is among the strongest of characters, LeiFei, he possesses great fundamentals defensively and has life experiences from playing in the Japanese arcades.

Though not based on tournament results, one who truly deserves to be at the very top is Krye himself. Although I've only played him offline at WCG2008, his level of defence is without doubt at the peak of Europe. From experience I feel that he does not alter his game negatively to compensate for online. He makes sure he properly hit-confirms, even though online might make him miss the guaranteed follow-up launcher string. He does his best to mimic offline play, and due to this, I am sure he will be fully prepared for Hypespotting, presumably taking the whole tournament back home to Holland. Advice to anyone preparing to take him on at Hypespotting, make sure you practise your g-cancelling to throw, or better yet, pick a character with a low throw and play by the frames when throwing, no hesitation.

I have a salsa class to attend in an hour so will leave my post at this today. Will come back and comment on the other players I have personally played offline in Europe later tonight.
