In my defense, I did not know Kage's moves that well back then. I admit to not having the knowledge to productively fight Kage that well. Not well enough to know what was punishable, and what could be abare'd or side-stepped out of. The reason why it took me a while is because I studied Kage more in depth and tried to find out what options I had after certain moves. When I found out the cartwheel double kick was a punishable "anti-Tenchi" move then I started to punish it with PK and am studying him further for more analysis on his moves. But I've already addressed we have had lag spikes in our connection lately, and it heavily throws me off. Not complaining or anything, just saying.

Also, you're talking about VFNumbers correct? I thought he plays Lei-Fei? I didn't know he's an Aoi player as well.

Semi, I didnt know you and Gun had a falling out, nor am I aware that he "ducks" challengers, I know 1 or2 people he said he didnt play because of what they say during fight/after loss, But if he is dodging people, please let me know, especially if you can give me names, I will gladly confront him on such B.S.

BTW Bounty, your right, Numbers is a Lei Fei, I brain farted... and to the 6K+G, I get why it took a few fights, my point was more that Aoi wakes up and attacks, not wake up and defend

I edited my post and added how to punish Aoi's Tenchi evade from a blocked sweep.
Against Tenchi forward step, 2P her, and for the backward step, you can just dash in a get a back throw, but you have to predict it.
If you"re not sure, just backdash and stay safe.

Really, if you see jp Aoi players, they don't use Tenchi movement much, because it's risky.

For her reversals, most Aoi will use the punch sabaki at first, Mix up some times with Kage's knee 46K against it. Or again, just low punch. Then you low punch will hit on CH, and you have +7, then you can throw or low punch again or P+K etc...

Don't be afraid to play shitty and cheap.

Yeah I have a couple of videos of me vs Gunsniper. I can upload them in the xbl cloud.
Feel free to add me in xbl as well, but remember I'm from France.

Just make the Aoi spammer afraid of using Tenchi..

The problem can be easily fixed by just using meaty on her.
With Kage, the move K+G and 44K+G can be easily used for that purpose.

But waking up and attacking can be said about any character though, can it? Like some people with a far better offense than Aoi will throw out something after waking up, and usually it's depending on the situation at hand. It could either help or hurt them yes. But usually when people attack after wake up I see that either they knew something was coming and wanted to stop it while surprising them, or wanted to know if they were too close and wanted to back them up and set up for something else. Either way, it's good information to plan out what to do the second time you get knocked down. I feel that can be said for any character, including Aoi you know?

Thnx, Kingo, No problem here though, thats the one "bad habit" that I get to punish all the time, just gotta make sure I dont mis-time the meaty K+G cuz wake up tenchi grabs it, thats where the whole 6K+G on Aoi wake up started

Bounty, Yes absolutely, my point was about Aoi's tools (tenchi sabaki reversal) causing "bad habits" because most other players/characters will learn quite quickly how risky attacking on wake up is... but with Aoi...It can be far less risky, So i see Aois fallling for wake up launchers far more than most other characters (amongst the lower masses, not the experienced)

On wake up ,you are at a big disadvantage, so unless the attacker mis times his move, or doesnt know how to keep this advantage, There is nothing to do but defend, any attempt to wake up and attack will fail....unless...its a sabaki/reversal/tenchi...THAT is why I said Aoi can cause a bad habit

Moderator, feel free to move this Aoi discussion to somewhere more relevant, sorry to muddy up the topic.

95 % of the messages in this thread since like page 2 have been pretty far from the original topic. Besides you were (kind of) just discussing why Aoi's tenchi is not top 5 material move in the game.
