No offense, Im sure you're an otherwise fairly intelligent person, but you don't know shit about virtua fighter and never will.
You need to learn the basics. Virtua fighter is based on several basic systems that apply to the gameplay. Techrolling is one of them, its immutable. Ask yourself, "If you can techroll a backflop, why wouldn't you be able to techroll a giant swing?". If you paused for a second an actually thought about it, you wouldn't even ask that fundamentally stupid question. That's like asking "Have they removed the abilty to throw escape the giant swing?" or "have they removed the ability to buffer the power bomb from a crouch dash?" If you haven't seen it done in VF5R, its because they changed the timing, and it needs a perfect recover, or a just tech in the soul calibur parlance.

If you took the time to learn the basics, you wouldn't waste time asking shit that's a given, people would have more patience with your questions.

I'm assuming this is Doug's second account since it's aimed directly at Seidon's post and it has an anti-Xbox tone to it (which is pretty much pointless in a thread based around R). Also the fact that you signed up today and this is the only post you've made is kinda fishy to me.

To be fair, I've seen plenty of R vids with Giant Swing in, and I've seen the fastest input one teched many times for 70 damage. I still have yet to see the normal one be teched - I've been told it does, but before I knew that, I too wondered if normal Giant Swing's techability had been removed, since 50 damage seemed very low for what was once the most powerful throw in the game. I guess I don't know shit about VF either.

Also, people tend to have patience when you ask questions politely and sensibly. It is when you just attack someone because they don't know something that you do that people tend to lose patience with you.
