NSAC is looking at modifying the rules
Please, its time to email them and tell them what you want to have in! I really want to see longer rounds and knees to the head.
If You REALLY Want to Change the Unified Rules...
How about this? I wrote this letter to Mr. Keith Kizer (kkizer@boxing.nv.gov), the Executive Director of the Nevada State Athletic Commission and he WROTE ME BACK. The man is VERY open to receiving fan feedback. Feel free to copy, paste and/or edit the letter and send as your own if you so desire - just don't pretend to be me : )

EDIT/UPDATE: They are taking this very seriously and are looking to MAKE CHANGES!

Don't really know enough about the mechanics of fighting to have an opinion tbh.

Would knees to the head give less muscular fighters some kind of strategy against very dominant wrestlers?

Just seems like knowledge of BJJ is so mandatory now that the smart fighter needs to start downing egg milkshakes to stand a chance irrespective of how talented he is.

That wasn't an actual fight, it was just a demonstration. Now this was a real Cung Le fight. Check out the hardcore techniques and damn near perfect execution. He's unreal, it's almost like out of VF/Tekken or something.

A better Cung Le HL reel (yeah, this guy is my new hero)

like i said ive been watching cung le for a couple of years now but i still dont know if hed make it in MMA. he has to learn how to fight on the ground. hes definently one of the best muay thai fighters in the world though.

i want to see cung le in UFC then ill know if he can hang with the big boys in MMA. he shouldnt fight in kickboxing matches anymore hes already a proven striker. if he can dominate in the UFC then ill be more impressed.

i want to see how cung le does against UFC fighters. we already know hes a great kickboxer. the other thing is some of the opponents hes beaten arent on his level. how many fighters can you name cung le has fought that impress you? not many.

he wont be able to get away with just strikes and slams in the UFC. hell need to learn how to defend the takedown or learn how to fight oh the ground.

Latest rumour for UFC 76 is Chuck V Wandi and Machida versus Shogun Rua.

i hope fedor fights for the UFC soon. the more big name fighters the better for MMA. i love the fact that all the good pride fighters are now starting to fight in the UFC.

imo there also dominating the UFC. the higher level of MMA fighters in UFC is just going to give MMA more credibility as a real sport.

im sorry but if there going to show shit like arena football on ESPN then they should show more MMA coverage. we already have he NFL why does espn have to cover the generic arena league?

same thing goes for poker. i love playing it but id rather be watching some MMA coverage then watching poker. like for example how hard MMA fighters train.

what it takes to be a MMA fighter would be cool too. i just wish MMA coverage was more mainstream so it would be on ESPN. id love to turn on sportscenter and watch some MMA news.

    guys... http://www.k-1fans.com/forum

my source for downloading all mma/k-1 fights, generally uploaded less than an hour after they happen. also the unaired fights are also uploaded after a few days. growth of the site is not a problem... as long as you repost!

and tonyfamilia... i was wrong on bocek/edgar... i was hoping there would be an upset on this card lol. as of the last 28 fights in the ufc (over 3 events), there has not been a single upset.

EDIT -- as for NSAC changing the rules... i hope so. knees on the ground are an absolute must. people will no longer call sherk a boring fighter when he's allowed to throw knees to the head from north/south and sidemount.
