Well, even though I only understand half of what is being said in this thread, despite the fact that I've lived in London for well over a decade all in all, I would like to point out that as a newcomer I have found the London scene to be very welcoming, and have had no problems just heading down to the troc and chatting to people and playing.
I would hope that anybody considering a trip to London to play would not be put off by idle trash talking, because the more people who play the better everyone's game gets, and then eventually we'll all be fucking BADASS and we can fly over to Japan and earn personal rankings. Champion rank is frankly not enough /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

That aside, I do love some good trash talk. Nothing adds to the spice of playing like someone shouting in your face, or getting up to lean over the machine to scream abuse at your mate. Of course, this only works with friends, but I would hope that everyone was brought together by the magic of VF enough for that to be case.

Oh, and I'd fucking RUIN anyone in a real fight /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

 

i agree with the second point, as long as it is all in good fun. this cock that EVERYONE has burned seems like a total ass, although i have heard from my sources that the guy is friendly enough, so its all good. as for coming to london, like i said before, the only reason that i havent been down is because most people dont like pad users, others dont allow them, and i dont know anyone in london to play. plus, usually by the time i have been given the details about london meetings, there is only a few days left to book the train tickets. this means that they cost shit loads and i can really afford to. if anyone is having a meeting sometime in late july/early august, then me and andy (Elite) can probably come down, providing someone can put is up for the night.

 

I'm coming to Trocadero (Cough.. AGAIN) on the 4th June/5th June 2004. Mite even nip in Casino to play some Tag, that game will never die, although Evo has grabbed me by the short and curlies at present ( /versus/images/graemlins/blush.gif) Hopefully Everyone will be there more peep's thee this time and I'm looking forward to G-ho's Pai beating the living hell outta me again. Looking forward to playing Ryan (If he's there!) and all the other top players. Sticks are not bad, 1 side is kinda loose feels similar to a hori evo stick, other side stiffer, takes getting used to.

Also unfortunately Street fighter 2 turbo in no longer in one of the cabs,

AND purple ken has his backwards hurrican in this version (even though the old jap version of sf2 turbo took it out!) so i can redizzy with ken now, there are redizzys with dash/turbo zangief also, but its luck if you get them as the damn game dont listen to button inputs some times!!!

Hey Random, what are the Ken/Zangief turbo redizzy's your talking about? I can't seem to find any thread's on Shoryuken or FAQ's on Gamefaq's yet. I can do the WW guile redizzy though! I'm still loving cheesy E.Honda, that guy is too much! His command throw is TEEF! Get a Jumping LK blocked and his command throw (HCB+MP) will connect, cos there's no whiff animation for the throw. And as for his Hundred hand slap's doing chip damage AND his teef low fiece kick! (Yes, I like Honda!)
