You improved a lot since I first played you man and that wasn't even that long ago, I noticed straight away when you were playing at Trocadero. Still can't belive you beat BK in that tournament we had haha.

you mean in low-medium disadvantage. you can only fuzzy at -6 and above. it's nitaku at -7 to -9 (depending on ur opponent's jab speed). vs wolf, aoi, vane, and jeff nitaku is -7 to -11. vs mid weights its -7 to -10. vs sarah, pai, and eileen its -7 to -9. basically anything after nitaku is considered large disadvantage because /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif would be guaranteed. anything larger than a guaranteed /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif would be major disadvantage.

    hope this helps!

Actually, I was using the VF4 Evo definitions of disadvantage:

    Small disadv. = -1
    Medium disadv. = -2 to -4
    Large disadv. = -5 to -7

since these are the ones still listed in the legend of the move lists here.

After this point you start going into punch, elbow, side kick guaranteed disadvantages etc

Have the definitions of disadvantage changed in VF5 because of the change in throw speeds?

I find that a VERY interesting question and would love to read what other players think about this.

    Also, nice games /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

P.S yeah well done to mcmystery in the tourny, if i was aware kneeninja was playing last in the final, i would have tightened my ass up, lol

    Personally I would say

small: -1 ~ -3, jabs can still beat elbow & throw
medium: -4 ~ -6, fuzzy can still beat elbow & throw
    large: -7 ~ -11, nitaku

anything more than that isnt disadvantage, so much as it is guaranteed damage.

i forgot to mention vane's 9 frame strike in offensive stance. so with that bitch, nitaku = -7 & -8 in OS.

Update: All Videos from the Live Recorded setup (smaller screen) have been uploaded.

Now I gotta do the individual matches from the Plasma setup. The ones saved on Mem Card, plus the tournament saves.

    Some good matches there.

Props to BK; I love your tight Wolf play - you seem to make him less slow and oafish than most people do.

Ollie's still mind-fucking everyone with those Aoi cancels, I see. Good play from you, too.

thanks, - yeah that no-profile wolf from part 35-38 is me, i still got much to improve, and i make lot command errors :)- i think the leaders of UK at this time are kneeninja (akira, lion & jacky there) and jide (kage), they got their concerntration nailed down. also, i think that opti was using shun and wolf that day(mabye alittle aoi?), most of the aois were probably zer0kage though.

you should come back down to london sometime if you still play VF¬

Geewai Ho is also right at the top as well although he wasn't at this session. I haven't actually seen a match between Geewai and Kneeninja yet. Anyone seen them play recently?

Your in there too man... you, KneeNinja, Jide and Opti are at another level compared to the rest of the UK folk. This gathering made me realise I need to step up my game a lot and I think the amount of online I play hasn't been helping.

I like watching these matches back because I can see where I'm choking, falling back on online tactics and basically doing stupid shit.

I like to work off of Wolf's RAW but unfortunately when I play against a character I'm not familiar with I become erratic and start trying to distance myself from my opposition.

I could also stand to tighten up my mixups when I'm close a good deal.

Nah, Jide's a big noob! And last time I played G-Ho, I think he was raping everyone with a girl (think it was Pai). Knee has mad skillz; I think you should sabotage his stick so that there punch and kick buttons are reversed.

Yeah, I live in Texas now, so coming to London to play is a little bit of a problem.

yeah I'd say our best player is gwai because he usually dominates most in the arcade and gets the most streaks in sessions. After that maybe Knee and the rest of us it varies on the day. The prince and pinoy Jason weren't there and they are good too.
Yeah too much online is kind of bad for your game in my opinion, I think the level of everyone's play in terms of timing for combo's, fast paced matches has come down as a result.
p.s Ev2, yeah didn't really use Aoi that day (not on replays), only shun and wolf.
p.p.s, nice job again Zero on the replays /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Not had a chance to sift thru all these matches yet.

ZeroEx did you end up capping stuff on your setup from ReBirth?

When we went to the Arcade on Friday night there was a very impressive Lau player.

    Who was that?
