Utah Players: 2 is bettter than 1

Wondering if you are up for some VF tommorrow. I have it off so if you want to we could play from noon to whenever if not my Saturday is open too. Me and Heather did get out of town last week for some fun but it was evanston so it was not that much fun at all, but we were able to have a good steak dinner so it wasn't a total loss.

 

We need some pre vf 5 matches leading up to the 360 release maybe it will help get some hype for the local community.

 

Sorry I've been out of touch, guys. I've just been really busy with my media work (not only has Gamer 2.0, formerly Amped News, stepped up, I found magazine work on top of that) and haven't been able to do much of anything as a result.

Anyway, all told, I'm finally ready to get things going again. I definitely want to roll some more VF5 with you guys like a few months ago, and I'm also trying to give the Cache Valley scene a good jolt with a questionnaire flyer I'm distributing (http://www.netgyks.com/fighting_questionnaire.pdf), so hopefully that brings us some more players eventually.

 

We have been kind of slow over here too we haven't got together that much and are currently waiting for the 360 version. We are hoping that the 360 version brings in some more players to the scene. I've been in the busy season at work so if we do do anything it would have to be on the weekend preferably a Sunday and girl friend approved. I'll let Brody know that you are interested in playing again and see if we can get the ball rolling again!!!

The last I heard on Ernie is that he is working again and he has a My Space page other than that I haven't seen or talked to him for a year. It's people like Ernie that need to be recognized as gaming stars!!!

 

Brody I'm thinking of coming over friday for a little bit maybe at around 6:00 p.m to 7:00p.m. and playing for a little bit. We have been working overtime at work and have had long days, so I will only be able to play for an hour or so.

Next week on the 3rd they are having a online 360 gaming event hosted by the So cal crew. I figure we could go up to Logan and meet up with patrick. Everyone let me know how your schedules are and lets see if we can work this out.

 

I don't get off work until 6 PM on the 3rd, but I'm available for VF any time after 7 or so.

 

Hey guys read my idea on the tourney for the SOCAL Event on the 3rd. Let me know what you think by posting on that thread

 

Neobeast I am in the same boat I don't get off work till about 5:00 p.m., plus I gotta go home and clean up, meet up with Brody for the trip down there 6:00 p.m., and then arrival in Logan about 7:00 p.m. So if all things work out this will be awesome!

There is one in ogden and one in clinton. I hope that I can get one of the few.

Just curious on how many players from Logan are planning to be there.

 

Got a VF 5 360 stick today. If any one from the Ogden area or vacinity want to come and play in logan this saturday then let me know. Post up and we will have a destination spot before we go. I also think whoever drives should get some money for gas.

I don't have an X-BOX 360 but if anyone in the local area picked up the game and want to learn some tips on how to play the game better, then post up and let me know I could probably give a few pointers.

 

Neobeast the #'s might be few. I tried inviting alot of people but I don't know how things will work out. You should leave El_Brisal your x-box live gamertag on the Socal event if you plan to do that. I need directions to your place I might be the only one.

Well, I can't house a lot of people anyway, so that's good. Right now it looks like it'll just be you, me, and Dave (decently-developing Vanessa player). No chance of Brody making it?

 

Outstanding games, Wall. Hopefully we can both get our footage uploaded in short order, this was possibly the most productive session I've ever played in any fighting game.

Looks like we've found a theme, too. "Don't Mess With Utah: We Will Choke You Out." It'll be interesting to see how long it takes us to develop a player that *doesn't* run grapplers. Not that I'm complaining.

Let's try and get as many local players as we can signed up on the MySpace group. It can be an EXCELLENT resource for centralizing players and getting tournament information out across multiple individual game communities.

 

Good idea. Once the overtime is over at work I will get on this and see if we can get a community in the Ogden area. I just wish I knew when all this madness will end.
