Utah Players

Just adding to Junosynths post, I'm the one who uses the T4 stick while he uses the Ascii, so I'll give my opinions on it as well. For one, the buttons are awesome on the stick. I like the layout, but more importantly, I like the size of it and feel of them. Doing Akira's knee is actually a lot easier for me, and I can pull it off at least half the time I attempt it. Not too bad.

The stick itself is really loose, so you might want to tighten it up some, but I played with it loose for about a month and you get used to it. I was able to do all of Akira's moves and combos pretty well (with the exception of Dragon Lance...but that's my fault and not the joysticks). The only thing I didn't really like on the stick was the 4 corners, but my complaint on that was it was hard to do 3/4 throws since the corners would get in the way a lot. Other than that one complaint, I'd say the stick is really good. We switched out the 4 corners now with a subtle 8 corner Ascii plate, and now I'm in heaven with my new stick.

Back to the potential gathering. Spring break is the week of the 17th. I'm trying really hard to get out of town for some of that time, however I'd love if we could set something up for later in that week, Thursday maybe?

I can't on Thursday, I work, but I am open for Weds., just started a new job so my schedule really sucks, and is pretty much non-negotiable!, if you can't on weds thats cool, I'll try my best to switch days

Ben, Sundays are usually pretty bad with me, I have church and work and etc.., I am down but its really hard. What are the days that you can get together usually. I will try to make my work schedule fit so we can play.

Besides sunday I can usually play Monday and Wed before 2PM and every other SAT. How about tommorrow?? Afternoon?? I am going to e-mail you my phone number. If you get this today call me, otherwise post on here when you can play.

 

I forgot that I'm not working this wed. I took it off to study and finish a paper, but I know that I will need a break in there, are you open???

Ben, Sorry I haven't been online for awhile, so I wasn't able to hook up last week, , hell ya, I am down for sat the 12th, turns out I already have it off from work, but i will be in provo until afternoon so as I learn more I will let you know on exact time I can be there. Also, if you go to the arcade try to put up some flyers if you can.

Glad to hear from you. Next time I'm in I'll check on putting up flyers for some inpromptu competion. Come one, come all. Playing against quality opponents is the best. Hope to see more then just the two of us on the 12th. If not I know we'll have fun.

Hey Utah Players. We are having an Evo tourney in CO May 3rd if ya'll are interested. The reason I mention it here is because your State is just next door. Also CO is a Namco dominated state so we need all the VF players we can get. Here is the list of games they will have

VF EVO - PS2

CvS2 - PS2
Third Strike - DC
