Sigh.... Probably the next sun. I'm tied down for the whole sun. ..... "work", those who know me should perfectly comprehend what that means. sigh.....

On the other hand, I'm free on sat afternoon from 12.30 to 4pm. piangzzz.... I presume I will have to loitter around or surf free wifi at MacDonald's or something. XD

Keiji,
It was never about chauvinism. But, for some reason beyond my comprehension, females will always have something to complain about guys (including the guys here at vfdc). Anyway, its just an article that I chanced upon. /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I think I must say to everybody sorry in here , I watch Europe Cup on Saturday evening, it is already three o'clock when I opened eyes, I did not hear the sound of the alarm clock, it is very dead that I sleep. Then I send msg to Danny, have explained the situation, then go out to have a meal, then I didn't check my handphone and sleep directly. Have not seen his msg and call either. I want not to have next time, I will guarantee . Sorry Danny, Sorry everybody.

We've got to figure out a way to get FT into Bugis. Let's talk to the manager...

The guy that got us our Ver B n card system (Alex)
is no longer working there.

On well, I hope there's a ps2 ver coming..need new bird tactics! XD

It doesn't mean there's no one else to talk to who can get us FT.

There's just NO question they've made a profit from the two Evo machines in Bugis...there's no reason why they can't make some more money by getting FT. We just have to let someone who can make a decision know about it.

In any case...isn't it just a free upgrade??

Do we have a phone number for the arcade? I can trying calling management, or the person who gets to order the games.

They actually have their own website.

Only problem is, it's been that long of a time since I last went down there, I no longer remember the name of the arcade.

Alternatively, there's zone X arcade...that's where the SC guys go for games nowadays...from what I gather..a rather niffy (not so crowded) n a willing to listen to players management....

Now, Kurt has mentioned he will talk to zone X

whether he remembers to do so, hohohoho

Outta my hands...

Anyway, I am retired soldier..so I leave it to you young uns to fight the good fight.

I got better (more important) issues to work out.

Stupid SG *insert ur least fav department with overpaid suits*

Heh heh, it's all about time management...it's possible to have life, love, money, AND VF at the same time.

Anyone remember the arcade name for Bugis? I was in fact trying to search for it with Google, but with "Arcade at Bugis" as the search entry, heh heh.

Where is Zone X?

Erm... Not to burst your bubble Jeff, but frankly, in comparison to the legions of KOF machines that they have there.... what we plunk into the machine probably couldn't come close.... Not to mention that with most of us working, there's hardly any income during the afternoons.... /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

SummAh - Retired soldier ? Thats what so many of us said so many years ago during VF3, and look at us now..... /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Think the website is somewhere in the Singapore gathering thread, but its a nightmare to sift thru all those numbers of posts..... /versus/images/graemlins/confused.gif But I found it ! /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif (You all owe me makan ah ~!)

TKA Amusement

But seriously, don't you guys think that its easier to wait for Ver. B FT or something to come out first ? From the VF history here, we've always been getting Ver. A systems, then having so much problems getting them to upgrade... /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Dude, you need to come to Bugis more often. You'd be surprised with the amount of play that's happening even today.

To Whom It May Concern:

I would like to highlight a profitable opportunity for your company:

There are about twenty regular players, like myself, who frequent your Parco Bugis Junction to play Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution. There are currently two machines at the Bugis Junction arcade. I don't know if you track the profitability of individual machines, but I assure you these two are highly profitable!

I myself play twice a week and spend about $10-15 per session. Assuming those other twenty players spend a similar amount (let's assume $10 to be conservative), this amounts to a revenue pool of $1,600 per month for these two machines alone. "Casual" players who also play from time to time will contribute even more. I think you will agree that this is significant revenue pool.

The issue is that a new version of Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution has recently been released in Japan (July 16, 2004), called Virtua Fighter 4: Final Tuned. I strongly suggest you obtain this new version for the Parco Bugis Junction arcade for the following reasons:

- Interest in the current version will quickly die down with the release of the new version. Regular, "hardcore" players will not play as much since they know their training in the current version is obsolete

- Depending on how you purchased Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution, in Japan, the upgrade to Virtua Fighter 4: Final Tuned to arcade operators is free and in the form of a GD-ROM

- Even if you have to purchase Virtua Fighter 4: Final Tuned (and only the GD-ROM, which should slot into the existing Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution cabinet), I suggest you purchase at least one copy for the Parco Bugis Junction branch. Despite Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution being available on the Playstation 2 as a near-perfect translation over the past two years, people still continued to play in the arcade. I assure you this will not continue if Final Tuned is released on the PS2 and the arcade still only has Evolution

- Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Shanghai have already obtained Virtua Fighter 4: Final Tuned machines, and they are expected to create lots of profits for their respective arcade operators. Please see http://hk-vf.net/bbs/ for a website dedicated to the game in Hong Kong. Please also see http://www.virtuafighter.com for coverage in English.

I hope you will consider my suggestion to help your company make money. I have been a faithful patron to your arcade at Parco Bugis Junction and hope to remain so with Virtua Fighter 4: Final Tuned.

Many thanks,

Jeffrey Yuwono

Now what we need to do is to continue hammering the message in. Print a copy and distribute to the people working there. Talk to anyone who looks like a manager and repeat the key arguments.

1. You don't get FT, we won't play and we're profitable customers
2. FT may be FREE
3. Even if it's not, you'll make money in at least Bugis Junction
4. We'll still play even if it comes to the PS2, as we did Evo
5. Everyone else that matters in Asia has got FT, why not Singapore?

It's definitely a good idea. I'm surprised that you guys don't know exactly who to hammer for this though - c'mon Mandingo! Get to know your operator!

Just as an fyi - the GDROM upgrade kit costs approximately 2500 USD. It's highly unlikely that they would be eligible for a free upgrade, but it's worth asking...if he was eligible, you'd have it already.

Our local operator is putting his order through - so Toronto will have FT running by the end of July /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

.cheers.

OK guys--Canada, and I mean CANADA, is going to get FT. How can those guys living in the middle of the forest get FT and we don't??? Let's get cracking on this, let's put the pressure on.
