It will have atleast 2 new characters - Brad and Goh. Maybe even Jeffry and a few others.

Tae Kwon Do and some kind of Karate are needed!!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Needed? Why on earth are they needed? Just because they're not currently in the game, does not make them a requirement for the game.

Update : according to my boss, he says

FT : no 'need' characters, no 'need' stages, no changes to the engine.

Just new moves and minor alterations here n there.

    He mentioned something about card....but I forgot~

Interestingly, I just came across some new info on Final Tuned.

    -Backturned ARM is now adjusted
    -The stages will be renewed
-New ranks and nick names will be added
-Rank up/down conditions will be adjusted
    -More items
-If you clear all the challenges in 1player mode, you will receive alot of fight money or a mystery item.
-The probability of getting a valuable item will be increased.

No more information on this? I hope they get rid of the silly backturned run aways tactics that Kage and Sarah players seem to abuse.

Just based on this information, I say gay...fucking a...20 bucks for really a minor upgrade...wtf? /shangmode onFuck that and sega can eat cock with a smile. If they are gunna release an "upgrade" and have people buy it, I really think 2 new characters AND gameplay tweaking could be the least Sega could do.

I'd buy FT only for the fact that Sega added moves and changed property of moves in an effort to make the game more balanced. The very fact by itself makes me intrigued and excited. Extra stage, items, rankings, etc are all nice extra flavor of this as well.

Sega doesn't give a shit if you buy it, they are doing this for the arcade scene in Japan. It might not even get a US release.

And 2 new characters would be gay. They obviously are trying to make VF4 as perfect as possible by tweaking things here and there. Adding more characters would bring them further from that goal, not closer. I don't think they even care about adding new features, they just want to balance things that they think need to be. If you don't like what they are doing, then just wait for TK5, it will be all new stuff.

shadowdean, you sound like the most pessimistic, broke ass motherfucker i have ever heard of. how bout we see what the game is like, and then see how much it costs.

how much have you paid for other games in the past that werent 1/10 as good as evolution? jesus christ.

I couldn't agree more. For how much time people will put into the game and the replayability of a game like VF4, the fact that version releases - like Evo - were less than full price is amazing. I would've paid $70 (CDN) for Evo had that been the price, no problem.

For me, FT could be $70 and I'd buy it. Why would I not buy it if I know I will get my money's worth and more? We may never see FT in an arcade in NA, but if we did I can guarantee you I'd spend a whole heck of a lot more than $70 playing it.

was it gay when they added it to evo? They could of just done what you said and "tweaked" it even more.

Evo and Final Tuned are not comparable. Evo was almost a new game by Sega standards with the 2 new characters, improving of graphics and the gameplay changes. Maybe Final tuned could be downloadable to the harddrive...

Of course you'd pay $70 for FT, considering we're playing with the idea of splitting a board :p

After having just watched Kage's new technique again, it seems as thought there is actually a 3-hit followup to the dragon punch. There is a spinning ridgehand before the two kicks. I noticed three flashes in the air while it was loading. Anyone else see this?

I thought this was evident from the first promo movie:

"The 4 hits are two punches, two kicks, and last kick still slams."
