Most are still playing, it was Europe only, so not many doac people there, still had a good time though, I've seen (and felt) a lot of new stuff, which I think you'd like (dunno if I can replicate it, though), there was some serious high-level shit =p.

you can come whenever, 9(if you call beforehand so i won't be in my pyjamas )10/11-ish if you feel like it. i'm usually up pretty early anyways, maybe get some mcmuffins for that morning energy boost? lol

In the end only Sof made it to the meeting, what was kindof cool as we just played nice and casually, trying out random characters instead is sticking with only our mains.
i need to chat with vortigar about lion, still don't get him 100%(dont wanna play him, just understand his flows etc) Anyways, thanks for coming sof and i'm looking forward to playing again soon.

 

I'm using Lau as my main from now on, Goh will have to wait until I know the game better =].

Playing online is starting to show it's uses: when I can't beat a player I will keep on challenging him until I figure out how to beat him, or at least play better against that character. Playing like this keeps me sharp and it provides huge satisfaction when you take a game after 15 straight losses =], especially when you know it's because you improved and not because your opponent messed up.

Also, I'm thinking of making a list of things I need to improve on, but I'm not sure if this will work beneficial or if it will make me focus on the wrong things (ie. pay more attention to my own game, than my opponent's).

Very nice! In my experience lists work really well, it let's you really focus on what it needed. There are a lot of things in the game that are only learnt by paying attention to your opponant (hit and ch checking for example, or when you keep losing to a certain tactic from your opponant). If you train those things too I don't think you'll lose focus.

I think your choice for focussing on Lau right now is very good, he is a bit less demanding systemwise and that gives you an edge while learning the game better.

@ake: nice games, i had practised vs shun but you play a very solid game that's hard to get in between. If you keep your offence up on the last streches of a match i think you will see a lot of difference in your match results: don't give em space to recover! your sarah was good aswell, hope you pick up a real second character as it'd be cool to play against the quality of your shun but in different situations that arise from a diff char.

@krye: very nice lau games vs you, it's hard to get in and you block well. you had a very stable offence too, i can see a lot of results from your online playing. if you grow as fast as you are doing i have a new person to fear! stick with him, really i think how you think and play works so much better in an offensive character than a defensive one like goh.

@sof: we didn't play(we played last week for a while anyway) but i saw your matches, nice stable stuff, looking forward to playing a longer session with you next time, keep up your akira game untill then /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

 

Yesterday was nice, I'm starting to become more aware of what I'm doing wrong, which will make it easier for me to work on those things =].

@Twan: Thanks, I just realized yesterday how good 3ppk is. It was a problem for me before because I never had something that'd do good damage/give good advantage on NH (except for 46p, but that's high). 3ppk fills that gap quite nicely (46 damage NH!).
