[IMG] I'd give anything for this opportunity. It's always been my dream to do a voice over for a cartoon or anime.

I was just thinking... Rather han struggling with podcasts why not using http://www.elive.pro/en
This is an extremely powerful platform that alows live broadcasting of multimedia content.

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Imagine you are watching a football match and you want to cast an audio commentary. Go on elive.pro, log in, click cast now and you are casting! Your friends can listen to you in real time or join you for a multicast. Once done, you can choose to save your video and audio on the server, so your work will be available for everyone later.

eLive offers many tools such as OTF text editing, image on screen, url on screen, multi-layers, multi-voices selection, youtube dub, facebook/ twitter/google sync and many more cool features that we let you discover by yourself experiencing eLive.

And if you are wondering why we are doing this, it is exceedingly simple... Because we can.
    </div></div>

This is really working great and already supported by the french fighting games community. You can find commented tournaments, turorials or just random casts with viewers interacting with the caster via the chat.
But for now its cruelly lacking of VF.

Are you talking about indesign? I have the program but don't know how to use it. I was checking some vidz on adobe.tv and it doesn't seem so hard, but if you've already got your head into it perhaps we can split our efforts into the design?

Re: VF Newsletter... get involved! - COMMUNITY EFF

I think a lot of great ideas have been mentioned and I'd like to adress those first so we can direct the community effort. In that way we can organize the effort into teams that handle specific tasks. Compartmentalization. PM threads can help. So I propose that if you really want to help, please post how you are interested in helping and get in contact with others who share the interest with you.

    1. PDF NEWSLETTER- that is basically underway, the next edition will be out soon. But Rodney needs volunteers for writing articles and ideas for other content to incorporate into the following issues. There should be a team of writers to bounce around ideas for what content will be featured in the next issue. There should be a separate team of artist and graphic designers who will keep busy in making it all look nice.

    2. PODCAST- I imagine we're gonna have to nominate a personality who we're gonna enjoy listening to ( I nominate STL TM, just cuz he talks so much shit it's actually funny. And he knows VF pretty well). Is there anyone out there who is pretty awesome at music production? Why not volunteer yourself to come up with an intro tune for the podcast?

    3. E-LIVECAST- RedTiger provided us with a link to a site that basically offers up a chance to put ourselves even more out there. Imagine streaming local tourneys for the community. We can see who's best of the best in the region. Or post up combo vidz and strategies. there will have to be a team that handles that as well. For organizing content and ideas for a show.

I've already volunteered myself for the PDF newsletter but not really much of a writer. I would like to start a team of artists and graphic designers to layout the newsletter. So PM if you really want to help. I would also be interested in forming up a team for the eLivecast, I haven't looked into it yet but I've been interested for a while in having a video segment regarding vf for the community. I looked into getting a video capture device to record vf from my xbox to the Mac but can't find squat in HD. I've got a great camera and audio equipment for recording. So definitely hit me up If you have similar interests.

Rodnutz - This is the first time I actually listen to a podcast of any sort. There was definitely enjoyable parts in the chat between you and Denkai. The only thing I could recommend (and I think you mentioned this at the beginning of the recording - what audience you will be catering to), is during some of the discussions you might want to take a second to give some extra background for those not familiar with the topic or people).

SamtheSeed - Yeah, I am talking about indesign. I replied back to you through the PM.

Yeah Frionel and Gunsmith use this alot for their Orochinagi Shows pertaining KOF. There's alot more that can be done with elive as well. For instance, you can individually change the volume of certain speakers in the podcast, which is great imo for those whose mics magnify their voice 100 times even with the sound adjustments.

    1) Issue number 2 although small is finally done and should be released very soon. Sam (Shun is drunk) just needs to add some finishing touches to it and then we will release it to everyone. Once it's released I'll try to get it up on the Wiki as soon as I can. Myke I might need a little help since I honestly haven't had a chance to look into Wiki authoring yet.

    2) No offense to anyone, but I am going to be the voice for the podcast. If anyone would like to do their own podcast please feel free to do so, but I honestly don't think VF needs 2 or more podcasters. If anyone finds my voice annoying the only advice I can give you is... DON'T LISTEN! You can always read the newsletter for a small summary of what may be in the podcast.

    3) This E-LIVECAST thing is awesome, but I honestly think we are moving to fast here. I think we definitely need to establish a better structure so newsletters can flow out more quickly before anyone decides to jump in front of a HD cam just so they can wave to people. For this to happen we need people to stop talking and step up and provide CONTENT. As I have said in my original post about this newsletter, CONTENT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE VF RELATED. What ever you feel like sharing with the community please feel free to do so. Of course let's keep it clean and fun... yeah no R or XXX rated shit. If anyone would like to provide content I have created an email account just for OMR. The address is onemoreround2011 at gmail.com

with all that being said, issue 3 is already in the works and I'm add something new to it that a lot of people helped put together and when it's released I really would appreciate it if we can give all those that helped out a good dose of appreciation.

Sam we really need to find some time to talk over the phone or something very soon. I agree we do need to put together teams for designated materials and those teams or team leaders can then report to you and me since we seem to be the primary 2 really pushing this at the moment. Maybe this weekend if our schedules permit it?

Re: VF Newsletter... get involved! - COMMUNITY EFF

Akai, I am working on a structure for the podcast. The purpose of what I released was just to test my equipment so that's why the conversations just ran wild. Honestly it was never supposed to be released, but since the newsletter was so behind schedule I felt I needed to give the community something in it's stead. You can tell me and Denkai completely forget we were actually recording at times just based on how the conversation jumped around a lot.

Anyway, I'm always open to criticism and your suggestions have been noted.

    Rodney,

I currently host and co-host 2 podcasts. Let me know if you need any help.

    Some programs you could use.
    Skype for the connection
    Pamela to record
    Audacity for editing
    Hipcast for the feed

Rodney, just touching on something you mentioned in the podcast:

Video analysis, and what to watch for when watching a VF clip. There's an opportunity in there somewhere ... (hint hint) [IMG]
