I think I should clarify one thing or two.

eLive is NOT a streaming or a webcam broatcasting tool (well, for now anyway).
eLive is mainly about picking a youtube video and talking over it. The awesomeness of it comes from the fact that you can do that in real time ! You can also pause/rewind/skip the video with everything keeping perfectly sychronized for the watchers. And it's very easy, all you need is a mic, internet and things to share.

Now take the VF5 video thread. It's a very cool thread and I love watching some great matches from top players. The problem is : as a novice, I cannot understand everything happening in a video. With eLive an expert can comment those videos and enlight everybody. He can explain the players strategy, he can pause and rewind to show some details, etc.
In France we have this guy named Ken Bogard doing just that on SFIV, he's quite popular and did a great job expanding the community. And I'd like to see that with VF !

So yeah, I think it's a great way to provide content relatively easily !

Noted... I'll look further into it. If it's as easy as you say then I'll gladly make use of it.

    [IMG]Chanchai likes this.

eLive has been growing on me. A nice, easier way to at least do commentary and conversation over online-available content.

I really like the idea of trying to interest new people to the game. Im from QUebec, Canada. Montreal to be more precise and around here its all about 2D. Very hard to find a scene for 3D fighters. For myself i play A LOT of fighting games competively. ( SSF IV, MvC3, Guilty gear, King of Fighters, Garou, Tekken, Soul Calibur of course VF which i really love and right now im really into 3rd Strike). Theres one thing i found out about the Sf3 community. In general they are pretty excited about VF5 FS coming out. Maybe this is due to Sf3 being a complex game also. Sf3 community can be pretty harsh to newcomers but they are really dedicated fighters who enjoy complexity in a game which is why, i think, they are hyped for VF5 FS. Anyways im saying all this just to let you guys know that sharing info, strats, and reviving the community will help the future VF5 FS community grow. I will do what i can here to interest people to the game cause right now im about the single person i know that really understands VF where i live. So keep up the good work and ill start to shove off the rrust on my own VF skills. [IMG]

The graphics were faded enough that I had no trouble reading the text. But since it affected you, it's good to raise the issue.

Enjoyed issue #2, though not sure what to think of Monkey Buns :p

But it brings that good ol' Rodney humor to the newsletter ^_^ A good reminder how at gatherings, Rodney's one of the easiest people to get along with and enjoy the good times (even when he's complaining too!).

When the black letters hit the black background it's almost invisible. You know because it's black. GIGANTIC pixelated Eileen looks like something from an old geocities site.

    Just saying....mad ugly.

My bad it was my reader...not bad dudes.

Great job on the article guys, really enjoyed the read!

Just be wary of using "noisy" images behind text. Some people are sensitive to the varying, and sometimes complete lack of, contrast which makes for an unpleasant reading experience.

Consider using full page background images sparingly (maybe at the start/intro of a major section), and then just place other images inline with text.

Finally got around to reading it. Its pretty entertaining, so far.

My only criticism so far is -- grammar check, PLZ! There are some errors that most might not care about, but are pretty atrocious to my sensitive, virgin eyes...

I spoke to Sam on the phone today and we discussed this for a brief moment and will try to address it moving forward. All I can say is we are learning and appreciate all the feedback.

I completely agree with you, but unfortunately none of us are English majors so until we get a real editor on board grammar will continue to be slightly bad. But trust we are working on it.
